Dear Human,

I think I’ve found our next Cotswolds getaway.

There’s a comfy bed with my name on it, walks through beautiful countryside, treats from the lovely troupe, and apparently, my own menu. (Finally, some recognition.) 🐾

While you’re enjoying dinner, a drink in the garden or a cosy evening in the library restaurnt, I’ll be happily soaking up all the fuss. And tomorrow? We’ll explore Stow-on-the-Wold together before doing it all again.

At The Old Stocks Inn, we think holidays are better when nobody gets left behind.

Some people become part of the very fabric of a place… and Amanda is one of those people.

For 14 years, she has been bringing warmth, kindness and a little bit of magic to The Old Stocks, welcoming our guests, and making everyone who walks through our doors feel at home.

From greeting guests with her wonderful energy to nurturing our garden veg boxes and helping bring a little piece of The Old Stocks into the food we serve, Amanda is at the heart of so much that makes this place special.

We genuinely wouldn’t be The Old Stocks without her.

Some guests arrive on two legs… our favourites arrive on four. 🐾

There’s something special about exploring the Cotswolds with your best friend by your side. Morning strolls through Stow-on-the-Wold, a stop at Dog for a doggie treat, before heading back to relax in one of our garden rooms.

Our dog friendly stays are designed with everyone in mind. Think direct access to the garden, plenty of local walks to discover, a warm welcome in the bar, garden and library area of our restaurant, and even a dedicated Sir Woofchester’s menu for your four legged companion. If they’re lucky, our troupe might even have a few treats waiting behind the bar.

Golden hour on the terrace ☀️🍸

After work in Stow-on-the-Wold has a way of slowing everything down a little, glasses clinking, easy conversations, nowhere you need to rush off to.

Some evenings it’s cocktails with the girls, some it’s a quiet wine in the sun, and sometimes it’s just sitting back and watching the day drift into night.
