With the clocks going back this Sunday, we wondered what our teams might do with an extra hour in their day!
We know our Maintenance teams will be putting the hour to good use, whizzing around the hotel and fixing all the clocks that definitely won’t change themselves!
Our friendly Guest Service Assistants will definitely use the time to finally finish the story they started telling a guest three shifts ago!
With an extra hour in the day, our busy chefs might finally get to enjoy a coffee while it’s still hot for once!
Our Leisure teams will plan to spend it in the gym (but actual spend it in the sauna 😉).
And Housekeeping? Hopefully they’ll enjoy a well-earned breather…after all, they can’t make the beds while you’re still in them!

While some of our teams are front and centre with our guests, there’s a whole world of people working behind the scenes to keep everything moving, from Sales and Reservations to Revenue, Finance, HR and everything in between.
And that means a career in hospitality can take you in more directions than you might think!
Today, we caught up with Milan to find out what life is really like as a Sales Executive and here is what he said:

"Every day as a Regional Sales Executive brings a fresh wave of energy, fuelled by an office culture so warm that colleagues quickly become lifelong friends. My morning begins by answering urgent emails from my established corporate clients, followed by mapping out the day’s priorities. Whether I am prospecting new business or checking in on existing accounts to ensure smooth operations, communication is at the heart of everything I do. While I utilize email and Microsoft Teams, my true passion lies in picking up the phone to arrange face-to-face meetings. I believe personal connections build the strongest foundation for trust and lasting business partnerships. Though I was incredibly shy growing up, entering the professional world completely transformed me. Today, that shyness is long gone, replaced by an outgoing personality and a genuine love for meeting new people, the exact traits that help me thrive in this role every single day."
