Autumn is slowly finding its way to Broadleaves 🍂🤎

The woodland is beginning to turn shades of gold, amber and copper, the mornings are a little crisper, and there’s that wonderful sense of calm that comes with the changing seasons.

It’s one of our favourite times of year here in the National Forest. Slower mornings, peaceful woodland walks and cosy evenings beside the fire.

And with Ash Shepherd’s Hut and its private wood-fired hot tub welcoming guests through autumn and winter, there’s still plenty of time to escape to the countryside. 🌿

A last-minute weekend at Broadleaves 🌿

What actually happens on a Forest Flow weekend?

There’s no rushing from one activity to the next.

Instead, Jodi & Becki from Wild Minds will gently guide you through a weekend of forest bathing, meditation, T’ai-Qi, nature-based creativity and time simply to be in the woods.

And between sessions? Your own space at Broadleaves, time around the fire, perhaps a wood-fired hot tub, and nowhere you need to be.

No previous experience is needed.

Come alone, as a couple or with a friend.

Something a little different this September.

We're teaming up with Broadleaves Glamping to bring you Forest Flow, a two night woodland wellbeing retreat in the National Forest.

Broadleaves are hosting, with luxury bell tents (some with wood-fired hot tubs) and a beautiful woodland and meadow setting at Ticknall. We're bringing the wellbeing side of things, guiding you through forest bathing, meditation, T'ai-Qi, nature-based creativity and journaling across the weekend.

It's adults-only and kept to a small group to keep things calm and relaxed. Everything is offered as an invitation, so take part in as much or as little as you like.

At Forest Flow, your retreat continues long after the day’s experiences have finished.

You’ll have your own luxury glamping accommodation to return to — a peaceful space to unwind, sit outside as the evening draws in, relax around the fire or, in selected accommodation, sink into your own private wood-fired hot tub.

Meet Wild Minds 🌿
For Forest Flow, it was important to us that the wellbeing programme felt completely at home at Broadleaves — rooted in nature, relaxed, welcoming and never intimidating.

That’s why we’re delighted to be working with Wild Minds Nature Connection CIC.

Led by Jodi and Becki, Wild Minds creates experiences that help people slow down, spend meaningful time outdoors and reconnect with the natural world. Their gentle, accessible approach to nature connection and wellbeing fits beautifully with what we’ve always wanted Broadleaves to be: somewhere you can step away from everyday life and simply enjoy being surrounded by nature.

Throughout the Forest Flow weekend, Jodi and Becki will guide guests through experiences including forest bathing, meditation and T’ai Chi, mindfulness, creative journalling and time immersed in the woodland.

No previous experience is needed. There’s nothing to achieve and no pressure to perform — just an invitation to slow down, notice more and reconnect.
