Today is 1st October… which means the countdown to the Machair Croft Cabins has OFFICIALLY begun! 🥹🏡✨

And we can finally announce…

🎉 BOOKINGS FOR 2027 GO LIVE ON SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER!!! 🎉

BUT… our Founding Cabin Members get first dibs! 👀

💌 FCM PRIORITY ACCESS: Friday 30th October
🌍 GENERAL BOOKINGS OPEN: Saturday 31st October

That means our Founding Cabin Members will have a full 24 HOURS of priority access to get their hands on the best dates before bookings open to everyone else! 🙌

🏡 MACH-air House kitchen update… and WOW, what a difference a few days makes! 🔨✨

We’ve gone from a perfectly functional kitchen… to what can only be described as organised destruction 😂 But things are moving FAST!

⚡ First-fix electrics are almost complete
🧱 Plastering & rendering has started
💡 Next up: the new downlights
🎨 Then we can start skimming the walls and — finally — THINKING ABOUT PAINT!

And of course… are there any more guesses on the colour of the new kitchen?! 👀 We’ve dropped a few hints already, but nobody gets to see it just yet… 😏

Meanwhile, work on the Machair Croft cabins is still flying along too — although this week’s progress is slightly less glamorous! Lots of tidying the site, shifting spoil heaps, filling trenches back in and getting everything ready for the next stage. Not exactly social media-worthy… but VERY necessary! 😂

September was the month we broke ground. October is shaping up to be a VERY exciting month indeed. 👀🤫

There is so much happening behind the scenes, and we’ll keep bringing you along for the chaos, the progress and hopefully a rather beautiful transformation at the end of it all! ❤️

A little “proud of me” moment… 🥹🌅

I sat at the back of the site tonight, watching the sun disappear over the Atlantic, and had one of those moments where I thought… wow. We’re actually doing this.

What started as an idea — drawings, plans, applications, spreadsheets and a LOT of dreaming — is becoming very, very real. 🥹

Sitting here with my furry best friend beside me, I couldn’t help imagining this exact view next year… except I’ll hopefully be sitting in one of the hot tubs, glass of bubbles in hand, watching the sun set over Machair Croft. 🥂🌅

September has been a dream come true. We BROKE GROUND!!! 🚜🙌

And somehow… October is going to be even bigger. 👀

There’s still a long way to go, but tonight I’m allowing myself to stop for a minute, look at how far we’ve come and feel bloody proud of it.

Now the important question…

Who’s ready to be sitting in a hot tub watching sunsets like THIS over Machair Croft?! 🙋‍♀️🥂

Because we definitely are. ❤️

Sheep frolicking in the fields, Atlantic seas on the horizon, spectacular island sunsets… and a kind of peace and tranquillity that’s very hard to put into words. 🤍

No traffic. No rush. Just wide open skies, sea air and the sounds of the croft.

24 HOURS AGO → TODAY 😳

Yesterday, this was a perfectly functional yet outdated kitchen. Today… well… THIS. 😂

The big store cupboard is officially GONE, the wall is down, and suddenly we have SO much more space to play with for our brand-new Machair House kitchen! 🙌

And now for the important question…

👀 CAN YOU GUESS THE COLOUR OF THE NEW KITCHEN? 🎨

We’ll give you one clue: it’s VERY on brand for Machair Croft…

There’s nothing better than hearing that our guests have loved Machair House as much as we love sharing it.

From ferry pick-ups and a roaring fire, to watching the sheep from the conservatory and making memories together on Iona — this is exactly what we want a stay at Machair Croft to feel like. 🏡🐑🌊

And we especially love that they’re already looking forward to seeing the cabins finished… not long now! 👀✨
