A worthy cause 👏
💙 3 DAYS TO GO… THIS IS IT. 🧙♂️🥾
Well so apparently… it turns out one does actually have to walk 100km eventually. 😂
& After months of talking about it, planning it, fundraising for it and occasionally even training for it… we are now just THREE DAYS away…..
truthfully, we’re probably equal parts excited and absolutely bricking it. 😬 maybe more the latter at the moment.
But nervous or not this Saturday morning, Frodo & Gandalf will set off on our slightly but worrying Fellowship — 100km across Devon, before hopefully making our way back home to Winkleigh on Bank Holiday Monday.
And before we even take that first step, we need to talk about what you lot have already done.
We’re now closing in on an unbelievable…
£6,000 RAISED. 🥹💙 (through just giving & cash donations)
Nearly SIX THOUSAND POUNDS before a hobbit and a wizard have walked a single kilometre.
None of us genuinely ever imagined this when one of those ideas that sounded brilliant over a bacon & sausage bap somehow got out of hand.
Every donation, share, sponsor, message, conversation in the shop and offer of help has pushed this thing further.
Morgan and I might be the silly fools doing the walking, but this has never felt like just our challenge.
Our community has been behind us from the very beginning — and this weekend, we want to take you with us.
Because our own little Middle-earth awaits… 🗺️🧙♂️
From the North Devon coastline around Woolacombe & Croyde, the Fellowship will head through Braunton and Barnstaple before leaving the coast behind and venturing deeper into Devon.
There’ll be coastal paths, countryside trails, river valleys, hillsides that will undoubtedly resemble Mount Doom by Sunday morning… and, being Devon, the occasional strategically placed pub along the way. 🍺😂
Through Fremington, Torrington, Petrockstowe, Sheepwash, Black Torrington, Hatherleigh and Iddesleigh…
Until eventually there is only one place left on the map.
Home. Winkleigh. 💙
And we don’t want this to be something you only hear about when it’s finished.
Throughout all three days we’ll be posting updates from the road — where we are, how we’re getting on, the highs, the lows, the views, the blisters and whatever state Frodo & Gandalf happen to be in at the time. 😂
So follow along, share it, give us a beep if you pass us, come and say hello if you spot us or even join the Fellowship for a little stretch if we’re passing your way.
And then…
Bank Holiday Monday. 🏡💙
However tired we are, however much our feet hurt and however questionable Gandalf smells by this point… we want the finish to be about everyone who helped make this happen.
We’d love you to join us back in Winkleigh and celebrate at our two local pubs, The King’s Arms & The Seven Stars. 🍻
And our legendary Ed the Log has even donated his time to fire up the BBQ.
From 5pm at The Seven Stars, he’ll be serving his famous steak sandwiches as we hopefully celebrate two extremely tired members of the Fellowship making it there and back again. 🥩😂
What began as two butchers with a mad idea has become something we could never have created on our own.
Nearly £6,000 raised.
A community behind us.
100 kilometres of Devon ahead of us.
And one reason that will matter a hell of a lot more than the aching legs when things get tough.
The Fellowship is ready. Well… Ready-ish. 😂
To There and back again.
For Dan. 💙

If you got this far please share far & wide, big love 👏🏼
