Sadly there has been a huge cliff fall at Holywell Bay and the beautiful natural St Cuthbert’s or Holywell Cave is no longer accessible.

It is not known whether it remains intact under the debris or will ever be reopened.

So sad, but a powerful reminder of how dangerous the cliffs can be.

This was a feature of our guidebook which we will update. Here is a picture from a couple of years ago.

Happy International Dog Day from Holly. What’s your favourite thing about your dog?

We love that Holly is so chilled with our cats, the zoomies she gets in the field at the top of the footpath, how much she enjoys cooling down in our stream and year round trips to her local dog friendly beach just 10 minutes away.

She has also loves sharing all of this with our guests .

Come and enjoy both throughout the year from beach sunsets to sunrises over the on-site lake and woodland walks to sunset sea dips.

Another exciting update. How would you feel about finding these in your dog welcome basket?

After our previous shout out for local suppliers of dog biscuits, we have teamed up with The Cornish Barkery and are now trialling a pack of their delicious wholemeal cheesy paws to welcome your 4 legged friends.

We know they might not be for everyone as they do include wheat and dairy. It’s such a tricky balance trying to support local small businesses with dietary needs for some. Please let us know your thoughts.

Would you use this on your dog’s collar whilst on holiday? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Do you think they are a good idea? Do the benefits of having a contact number outweigh the risk of someone knowing your dog is not local?

We have bought some from the lovely Hannah The Little Grove Inn and are excited to share them as an extra to our existing dog friendly offering:

🐾Relaxation knowing the cottage has a fenced garden and patio and the boathouse has a secure,covered lakeview decking
🐾Freedom to explore the streams and woodland on site safely (the closest road is half a mile away)
🐾’no rush’ days with footpaths from the doorstep - no need to get in the car to go for a walk
🐾Outdoor taps for washing muddy wellies and paws - or more!
🐾Welcome baskets for humans and dogs
🐾dog friendly beaches and towns within a 10 minute drive. Perranporth is very welcoming with many of the pubs and icecream shops offering dog menus
