🤩💋 A Taste of What's to Come... 🍽️✨

Today, Ronnie and I had the pleasure of enjoying Rose's beautiful Sea & Shore tasting menu in our private yurt restaurant for two, and what a treat it was.

From king prawn, avocado and lime tortillas and native lobster bisque, to tuna ceviche, perfectly seared scallops, wild halibut and a rich dark chocolate fondant, every course was beautifully presented and full of flavour.
The setting was just as memorable as the food.

Candlelight, complete privacy and the gentle sounds of nature outside the yurt. In true Hawthorn Hideaway fashion, one of our resident chickens even popped by to see what all the fuss was about! 🐔❤️

We are delighted to welcome Rose from Fox Fine Dining to Hawthorn Hideaway and, after today's meal, we cannot wait to try her other menus.

Part‑Time Self‑Employed or Employed Support Role

Hawthorn Hideaway is looking for a reliable, friendly, and proactive individual to support us with a variety of general tasks. This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in keeping things organised, and is confident managing their own time.

Role Includes:

General cleaning

Ironing and laundry support

Organisation and restocking

Light maintenance and upkeep tasks including gardening

Helping ensure our spaces remain tidy, welcoming, and well‑maintained and that guests are attended to as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Part‑time, self‑employed or employed availability

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays essential

Hours negotiable

Flexibility for additional days when needed

Someone who can manage their own hours independently and is flexible and capable in covering a variety of roles

Own transport preferred due to our rural location

A positive attitude and strong attention to detail

Someone who loves the outdoors and dealing with nature

Someone who enjoys working as part of a team

This is a varied, rewarding role in a peaceful, nature‑rich setting — ideal for someone who values independence and enjoys practical, meaningful work.

"A fabulous little hideaway retreat, went for our 30th anniversary for one night, wish we had time to go for longer. Beautiful log cabin , nice and peaceful, lovely walks along the canal.
Amazing massages done by Lisa, didn't get time to do sauna this time but will definitely be back for longer next time."
