Pay attention to the finer details around the house. They elevate the design and create those finishing touches that pull the rooms together.

The Victorian frieze lining the dining room walls was overpainted and unfortunately lost with time. Aiming to bring this feature back to life, we set out on our own restorative project to return elements of Woodlands to its original design.

Lincrusta mouldings replicate artisan plasterwork, and add beauty and complexity to the interior design. The method replicates that of late 19th century techniques, including the use of linseed oil and wood flour.

These features are popular within royal homes and iconic buildings, such as the White House.

Experience craftsmanship and coastal tranquility.

The distinctive “stone rubble” facade of our three-storey villa gives it a pronounced texture. As the sun sets, the stone catches the light to glow a warm orange.

We’ve used traditional lime mortar between the stone; the same technique favoured in Ancient Greece and Rome.

Tucked on the coastline, this stonework and mortar is best for the house’s resilience and breathability in the sea air.

Elevated 241 metres above sea level, the Downs are the highest point on the Isle of Wight. They could be right on your doorstep!

On a sunny summer evening, take a stroll up to the top for serene panoramic sea views, including the Victorian town of Ventnor beneath these dramatic hills.

The wildlife is not to be missed. Feral goats graze on the hillside and rare flora and fauna dot the area, giving it a Mediterranean feel.

You may also come across a disused military radar station and bunker.

This is a page dedicated to our vacation rental in the beautiful seaside town of Ventnor.

Located on the Isle of Wight, Ventnor experiences a Mediterranean-like climate, with approximately 1888 hours of sunshine per year, due to the local microclimate.

The town itself has year-round activities on offer. From a summer art’s festival to the Boxing Day swim, there’s something for everyone.

Located on the hillside, the house itself benefits from a unique 180 degree sea view, private garden, and plenty of off-road parking. It sleeps up to 9 people and has spacious dining and living areas.

The property is Grade II listed and was built in 1840.
