Before every guest arrives, we carry out a final check around the cottage to make sure everything is clean, fresh and ready for your stay. 🧼🏡

From sparkling showers and spotless sinks to a lovely clean fridge (because nobody wants to open that and wonder what happened in there 😂) we like to make sure everything is just right before you walk through the door.

Whether you’re visiting for an hour or making a day of it, Buxton is full of charm and is well worth adding to your Peak District itinerary. 💚

Whether you choose a pedalo or a rowing boat, it’s a lovely way to slow down, soak up the scenery, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It’s a favourite with families, couples, and anyone wanting to make the most of a sunny day in the Peak District. ☀️

The sunshine has definitely been putting the gardens at the cottages to good use lately, so it felt like the perfect time to freshen up some of our outdoor seating. ☀️🌿

One of the garden tables at Landcroft Barn had finally reached the end of its days, and another bench set at one of the other cottages was looking a little tired too, so it was time for an upgrade.

I spotted a gorgeous bench set that would have looked perfect… until I noticed the £1,500 price tag (and that was in the sale! 😳).

After a bit more searching, I came across a very similar one in Aldi for just £99. Needless to say, that one came home with me instead! 🤭

The gardens are looking lovely, guests are making the most of the warm weather, and everything’s ready for those long summer evenings spent outdoors.

Of course, this is Britain… so we’ll probably all be saying it’s too hot this week and wishing for the sunshine back next week! 🇬🇧😂

A sea of golden buttercups.

This is the view guests wake up to at Landcroft Barn, a peaceful corner of the Peak District where mornings are slower, coffee tastes better and the biggest decision of the day is whether to head out for a walk or simply soak up the view.

Sometimes the best part of a getaway is doing absolutely nothing at all. 💛
