Once again the Rotary Club of Wellington is holding a Bric-a-Brac sale at the Pop-Up Shop, Wellington in October and we are now asking for donations. Would be grateful for anything you might be able to donate and you can ring Brian on 01823 663581 to arrange collection. All monies go towards local charities and good causes. Many thanks.

Members and their partners enjoyed a very sunny lunch sampling and scoring a variety of delicious sausages, expertly cooked by Rotarians Paul and Brian. and supplied by local butchers Tim Potter, Son and Daughter, Fore Street, Wellington.

This weeks meeting was somewhat different, instead of our usual venue we held an informal and entertaining lunch at the home of Past President Paul Brunsch. A wonderful afternoon in the sunshine.

Year Six pupils at the recent leavers service for St Johns Primary School, were given a gift of scientific calculators, which our club was more than happy to cover the cost of and wish the children well for their future.

An amazing cruise on the river Parrett at Langport on the Duchess of Cocklemoor followed by a sumptuous lunch at the ‘Parrett Deli and Dine’. Thoroughly enjoyed by all on a wonderful summer day.

It is with real pleasure the The Rotary Club of Wellington presented a cheque for £250 to Members of IKB Primary school's Pupil Council and we are please to say this donation has already been used to help fund the furniture in the well-used outdoor reading area.

On May 29th we held our President's night at Oake Manor Golf Club where an enjoyable evening was had by all. Not only were we served with a delicious meal but it was an opportunity to formally introduce Brian Withers as the new President and to present Rotarian Mike Field with his PHF award.
