The first Thursday Sunset Session of the season at The Boat on Weymouth Beach gets underway from 7pm, with live music from The Jolly Boys Outing. 🎸🎤

If you’re in Weymouth this evening, head down to the beach, grab a drink, soak up the sunset and enjoy another great night of live music by the sea. 💙

🎆 The countdown is on! Weymouth’s spectacular FREE Monday Night Firework Displays are back this August, lighting up the seafront with a fantastic show over the bay. ✨

If you’re visiting or enjoying a summer evening by the beach, make sure you stay a little longer and enjoy the fireworks. They begin at 9.30pm and last around 15 minutes.

If you plan an overnight stay to take in the fireworks our best advice is book as soon as you can as there’s sure to be a big demand.

Weymouth Seafront Fireworks Displays are organised by Weymouth Town Council 🙏

🎇 Monday 3 August – 9.30pm

🎇 Monday 17 August – 9.30pm
🎇 Monday 24 August – 9.30pm
🎇 Monday 31 August – 9.30pm

Displays on 10th & 24th August will be lower noise displays

☀️🏖️ Award-winning news for Weymouth Beach! Weymouth Central Beach has once again been awarded the prestigious Seaside Award for the Summer of 2026 by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy. It recognises the beach’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, environmental management and visitor facilities.

Now in its 39th year, the internationally recognised scheme highlights some of the very best beaches in the country and it’s fantastic to see Weymouth proudly flying the flag once again 🌊👏

📢🌟 It’s Community Expo day in Weymouth today!

Organised by Weymouth Town Council, a wide range of local groups and organisations will be at the Jubilee Clock today from 11am to 2pm, all eager to showcase what they do and explain how you can also get involved.

There’s plenty of entertainment to enjoy also which includes:

🎵 The Rock Choir Weymouth, choir led by Stacey Hobday, 11am to 11.20am
🎤 Quangle Wangle Choir, 11.50am to 12.20pm
👢 Hooked on Boots Line Dancers, 12.30pm to 12.50pm
👊 The Combat Lab, 1.20pm to 1.40pm

The Annual Town Assembly also takes place at 1pm, with a short report from the Town Clerk.
