It recognises the beach’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, environmental management and visitor facilities.

Now in its 39th year, the internationally recognised scheme highlights some of the very best beaches in the country and it’s fantastic to see Weymouth proudly flying the flag once again 🌊👏

📢🌟 It’s Community Expo day in Weymouth today!

Organised by Weymouth Town Council, a wide range of local groups and organisations will be at the Jubilee Clock today from 11am to 2pm, all eager to showcase what they do and explain how you can also get involved.

There’s plenty of entertainment to enjoy also which includes:

🎵 The Rock Choir Weymouth, choir led by Stacey Hobday, 11am to 11.20am
🎤 Quangle Wangle Choir, 11.50am to 12.20pm
👢 Hooked on Boots Line Dancers, 12.30pm to 12.50pm
👊 The Combat Lab, 1.20pm to 1.40pm

The Annual Town Assembly also takes place at 1pm, with a short report from the Town Clerk.

Sandworld Sand Sculpture Festival - Weymouth launches its 2026 season this weekendwith a special Open Day, featuring a familiar local face… Weymouth’s own James Baker will be there on the day!

Visitors can meet James between 10:30am and 12:30pm, grab a photo, and soak up the atmosphere as something brand new is revealed…

A fresh sand sculpture inspired by his journey on The Traitors will be unveiled, and it’s shaping up to be a real standout 👀
