This building spent its first century housing livestock on a working Somerset farm. Now it houses groups of friends and families who need a few days away from everything that isn't this.

Three beds, pine floors, a Velux full of morning sky. 🏡

This is Dunkery, one of the first-floor rooms. White linen, warm floorboards, a vaulted ceiling that still holds the shape of what this building once was. A working livestock barn, over 150 years ago.

The barn sleeps 10 across three rooms. Good for a group that actually wants to be in the same place.

Not something you see every day. A full-size Victorian traction engine rolling through Wheddon Cross on a sunny spring morning. 🚜

Exmoor isn't a theme park version of the countryside. Working farms, ancient lanes, a village with its own rhythms. The barn sits in the middle of it on a 25-acre farm, sleeps up to 10, and right now is a very good time to be here.

The Northern Lights over a 150-year-old stone barn on Exmoor. 🌝

Not a filter. Not another country. This was taken from the yard at Wheddon Cross, at 1,000 feet, with no towns and no streetlights for miles. Exmoor is Europe's very first International Dark Sky Reserve. On exceptional nights, the aurora comes south.

We can't promise the lights every stay. But we can promise a sky unlike anything most people have seen from England.

Every spring, the valleys around Exmoor fill with bluebells. Ancient moss-covered oaks, young ferns just coming through, and flowers thick between the roots. These were taken on a short walk from the barn door. 🪻

Six hundred miles of footpaths start here. In bluebell season, you don't need most of them.
