Norwegian physician and longtime humanitarian activist Dr. Mads Fredrik Gilbert has accused Europe of a massive moral failure regarding its handling of Palestine. He speaks of a moral collapse and criticizes a clear double standard: while Europe reacted swiftly and with unity to the war in Ukraine, it has shown a completely different, significantly more restrained stance toward Palestine. According to Gilbert, Europe is losing its credibility in the very area where it often speaks of values and human rights.
