The Saracens is a beautiful old inn that is hidden away in the wilds of North Norfolk. Ideal for those that want to escape and just get away from everything. Six lovely ensuite bedrooms and a restaurant that specialises in all the best foods from Norfolk. If you want to get out and discover then we are your base, with beaches, golf courses, country houses, the broads and Norwich all within half an hours drive. We’ve just received the the last delivery of Brancaster mussels which are now being prepped for service this evening. Don’t forget that once they’re gone, they’re gone! Miss them and you will@have to wait until October for them to be back on the menu😮.

Here’s a few last minute stocking fillers that you can pick up from the Saracens, all homemade by us! Gift vouchers can be for any amount, but we can’t post any later than the weekend.
We will be open for Sunday lunch on December 21, but then closed over Christmas and New Year. We open again on New Year’s Day for Lunch. Book in now whilst we still have availability.

Sunday lunch is that special meal of the week and it’s not just about the fact that our beef and pork are locally reared, we try to source as much of our produce from as near to the Saracens as possible and by using the best local suppliers.

With smoked haddock fish cakes as either a starter or main with home made tartare sauce, fresh mackerel fillets with potato salad, sea bass with prawn and marsh samphire butter, not forgetting dressed Cromer lobster 🦞 with salad. When the crabs scuttle off, the lobsters move in! On the specials board today and into the weekend.
Cromer dressed lobster foamed garlic butter, salad leaf, heritage tomatoes and fries. 1/2 lobster £28.50, whole lobster £50.
