Gorgeous short half-term break to Wales with fab friends…😎First time to Abersoch and Pwyheli as an adult. Stunning coastline and quirky little beach bars 🍽🍸Yes it rained a bit, ☔️ but we got some sunshine and a fun day trip out to the Forest coaster at Zip World. York Townhouse, sister to five star rated York Penthouse is now live and has some August availability as it’s so new!

Nearly three years ago, we started on our AirBnB journey with York Penthouse…

Since then we’ve had over 150 five star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 reviews and countless happy guests 🎉

Despite the small matter of a global pandemic, the business has gone from strength to strength and we’ve been really lucky to have some really lovely guests staying 🙏

As the saying goes, you’ve got to keep moving forward so we are now only a week away from purchasing our next holiday let property… 🥂

York Townhouse (as we’ve named it) is only a hop, skip and a jump away from York Penthouse, but this one is a gorgeous Victorian terrace, on a quiet road just opposite the Everyman cinema. 🍿

The high standard of accommodation and hosting is going to be just the same, with the added bonus of an outside courtyard to enjoy the sunshine. 🌞

Watch this space for the first pictures over the next few weeks, and hopefully it will be ready for guests in time for Summer 🤞😎

Well, today’s guests have just cancelled due to illness! 😩So they didn’t lose out, I’ve let them just change their dates to next year! 🤦‍♀️😇

So, York Penthouse is now free from today Friday 10th December until next Friday 17th December, due to two different cancellations!

It’s such a shame for it to sit empty when we were fully booked, and when there’s so much to see in York. If you’re able to come for a last minute break, drop me a message and I’m happy to offer a discount! 🎄

Due to changes to travel rules, our international visitors have had to cancel their break 🥲

So, we now have a last minute December break🎄

Monday 13th - Friday 17th December. Min 2 night stay, I can offer a discount for 4 nights🥂

The Christmas markets are in full swing (and won’t be quite as busy midweek), as well as lots of other festive activities! 🤶

We’ve been fully booked for November and December, so these dates will probably get snapped up pretty quick.

Last minute family break down to Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula. We last visited this village about 11 years ago and it’s been on my wish list of places to get back to you for a while.

Being right down at the bottom means that the place remains beautifully unspoilt and quiet. We managed to find a stunning cottage right in front of the sea, so even though the weather was a bit rainy, we could stayed cosy and watched the views with a glass of wine and a game of Scrabble.

We played on the beach, visited Church Cove and Pendennis Castle and had obligatory takeaway fish and chips from the Lifeboat House Cafe.

Back to reality now, at least it’s always nice to come back to York!

Last minute family break down to Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula. We lasted visited this village about 11 years ago and it’s been on my wish list of places to get back to you for a while.

Over the last few days, people seem to have been getting organised and booking for the rest of the year - Christmas 🎄 and New Year 🍾 are now booked and we’ve actually only got 4 stays left available.

After a jam packed August and an equally booked up September & October, I’ve got a rare two free days to go and do a quick apartment stock take! ⏰

I’m going to put my nice throws and cushions back in that had to be removed last year. 🛌

My carefully chosen books about York and a few of those little non-essentials like toast racks are going back in too! 📚

Paint pot is coming with me too, just to touch up walls and make sure the apartment stays looking perfect. 🖌

York Penthouse has been open since July 2019, in that time we’ve had to close twice due to covid but despite that, we’re just five reviews off 100 5 star reviews 🤩
