January: steady Monday to Friday with our direct bookings for work.
Quiet weekends.
A slower start to the year overall.

“We spent Christmas at Falls Cottage and it was absolutely wonderful. As the kids have all reached teenage we wanted to add to our Christmas fun with waterfalls and a hot tub! The cottage was stunning - as with all Solace Stays properties that we have experienced - its hotel standards with a home feel. Every little detail has been considered and adds to the luxe home aesthetic. For Christmas we were provided with some very thoughtful extras as well as a beautiful tree. Chris is a great host, clear communication without overload. We spent hours on the 4 waterfalls walks, even in winter it is stunning - maybe more so as there were no crowds at all! After all the walking, the hot tub was a real treat, in the dark, looking up at the stars- special memory making. We will definitely be having a look at which Solace Stays property to try next - thank you!”

What a December.

We’ve just had our biggest December for bookings since we started and it’s a great way to close out the year on a high.

January is usually known as a quieter spell, but we’re using that time properly. Now that we’re managing our own in house cleaning team, we’ve got the luxury of stepping back and creating more systems, tightening standards, and making sure every house is in top shape heading into spring.

Maintenance lists are back out and we’re ready to hit 2026 rolling.

And the best part, we’ve already got some brilliant event bookings secured for the year ahead.

Consistency builds trust and we have just been awarded another superhost badge 🌟

Since launching our serviced accommodation business 5 years ago, we’ve regained Airbnb Superhost status every single quarter, across every property.

That’s 20 straight quarters of keeping our standards high while growing the business year on year.

It’s easy to lose sight of the guest experience when scaling. But for us, standards have always come first. Cleanliness, communication, reliability, and attention to detail—these aren’t negotiable. They’re the foundation that has allowed us to grow while keeping our reputation intact.

For our guests, this badge is reassurance. For our landlords and partners, it’s proof of consistency.

And for us, it’s a reminder that no matter how far we’ve come, the basics done well are what set us apart.

From 1 to 20. Every quarter. Every standard.

We started with just one property over four years ago. Since then, we’ve grown steadily, always at a pace that allowed us to keep our service world-class.

Today, we proudly hold Superhost status across 20 listings, and we’ve never dropped that standard not once.
