Good news from Mahalo to this group for all the work they do to keep Kahalu’u Bay safe for everyone to enjoy!

After 18 months of tireless work by our wonderful ReefTeach stewards, we are pleased to share that the levels of oxybenzone in Kahaluʻu Bay have decreased dramatically. MAHALO to everyone who continues to give their time and energy to help care for this special place.

The levels are still considered high risk- but this data illustrates the positive impact we have when we work together.

Let's continue to give Kahaluʻu space during this long overdue rest. 🌈
