The St. Stephen’s Basilica

It’s the largest, neo-renaissance church in the city. It was done in 1905, after 54 years of planning.

The inside is decorated with beautiful decorations, and its huge windows flood light into the buliding. The Catholic Church was named after St. Stephen, the first christian king of the country, whose hand, the Holy Right, is today preserved in the main ship of the basilica. The musical life of the church is also significant, organ concerts are often organized here.

Tip: it is also worth visiting the dome for those who are not into the classical concerts, as they will have a dazzling sight from the top of the Basilica.

There is a christmas market every december at the buildinh: festive concerts, as well as nearly a 100 domestic craft exhibitors, traditional Hungarian dishes and skating rinks.

The Advent Basilica became one of Europe’s best christmas market in 2023 for the fourth time.

The Hungarian Parliament is located just a few stops from our hotel. It is one of Europe's oldest legislative bulidings, a notable landmark of Hungary. Currently the largest building in Hungary, also known as the "The House of the Country". It provides a beautiful sight at night and during the day as well.
