Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in eastern Bali, Indonesia, about a 20 minuet drive from Amed.
It was named after the sacred river Ganges in Hinduism, it is noted for the Karangasem royal water palace, bathing pools and its Patirthan temple. The one hectare complex was built in 1946 by the late King of Karangsem.

Things to do in amed ☀️

Rent a motorbike 🏍 or hire a driver 🚗 and head up the mountains in an area called Bangli. At the top of this stunning drive in the mountains ⛰ you will arrive at a really seeet location 📍called Lahangan Sweet.
Up here, there are many little view points and look outs which look over the stunning views of Amed and the surrounding villages! 🏝
You will also see undoubtedly the best view of the Mount Agung 🌋 volcano!

The morning after some well needed rain in the Amed area the water is flat calm, the volcano is looking fine and the sun gets ready to peep over the hills. Waking up early to go and have some quiet time on the beach is a must. It’s also great at the moment as it’s super low tide to go for a morning stroll.
