Rowan Tree Hostel is located in a beautiful fully restored former Gentleman’s Club built in 1740 in the centre of Ennis, County Clare which is a vibrant town renowned for it's lively pubs and traditional Irish music. We have made the difficult decision to cease trading as of today 11/10/2021 due to increasing and unsustainable operational costs.
We would like to thank all our loyal guests and customers for their valued custom over the years and most importantly thanks to our fantastic employees many of whom have been with us since the beginning for their loyalty and dedicated hard work, we will miss the interactions with you all on a daily basis but we feel now is the right time to end this chapter.

REOPENING TUESDAY 13TH OF JULY!!!!!

We are delighted to announce that the OPW Heritage Site at Ennis Friary will reopen to the public on Tuesday the 13th of July.

There will be FREE admission to Ennis Friary for the season & we will be open daily at 10am with last admission at 5.15pm.

The site will be reopened in the safest way possible for both visitors & staff. Please follow Covid-19 guidelines and the guides instructions on site – Please note the following:

- a maximum of 15 visitors are permitted on site at any one time.
- social distancing will apply throughout the site.
- face coverings must be worn in all indoor spaces.
- self guided visits only but our guides are on hand to answer any questions.
- hand sanitising stations are in place throughout the site.
- there are no public toilets available on site.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all back on site!!!
