It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tony Mc Dermott. The owner of the Mill Park Hotel & The Park Hotel in Kiltimagh. He was our boss, and our dear friend.

Tony dedicated himself fully to both the Mill Park Hotel and the Park Hotel, putting his heart into every single day. As owner, he was always present, working side by side with every department and never asking of anyone what he wouldn’t do himself. He was meticulous in everything he did. From the grounds outside to every detail in the bedrooms, nothing ever escaped his eye. He took such pride in making sure everything was perfect.

Tony treated every member of staff like part of his own family, and because of him, both hotels became such close-knit, supportive places to work. He created an environment where everyone looked out for one another, and that sense of togetherness is something we will carry with us always.

Even throughout his illness, Tony never gave up. His strength and determination were an inspiration to us all.

He always had a story to share whenever you stopped to chat with him, whether it was a bit of advice, a memory, or simply something to make you smile. Those conversations are moments we will all treasure.

What he loved most was welcoming guests. So many people were greeted by his warmth and his kindness. The same warmth extended to the many suppliers, tradesmen, and local businesses — all of whom he valued and built lasting relationships with over the years.

Tony didn’t just manage the hotels, he created a family. We are so grateful to have been part of his.

The Mill Park along with everyone at the Park Hotel, will miss him more than words can say. His presence, his laughter, and his dedication will stay with us always.

Rest in Peace Tony 🤍

We are proud to be sponsoring Mark & his son Jamie Rodgers who are taking on a remarkable challenge as Mark prepares to turn 50 this May — running 50km in a powerful effort to raise €50,000 for autism charities across Donegal.

Through his campaign, “50k at 50 Charity Run for Autism in Donegal,” Mark hopes to make a real difference for children, families, and support services in the local autism community. By combining a personal milestone with a meaningful cause, he is using this challenge to inspire generosity, raise awareness, and give back in a way that will have lasting impact throughout Donegal.
