I am grateful for another blessed day in my life. Today, I led a birding trip for my international clients at Jorbeer Reserve, where we spotted a massive Steppe Eagle on the ground that was unable to fly. Upon discovering its injured wing, I immediately jumped out of the Bolero jeep and rescued the creature, promptly notifying the forest team and transporting it to the Rescue Centre. Under the guidance of a veterinary doctor, the forest team provided immediate first aid. I am deeply humbled by the Rajasthan Forest Department and the Jorbeer Conservation Reserve forest team’s rapid response.

I wish for a speedy recovery for the Mark Steppe Eagle, named in honor of my guests Mark and his wife Diana, who cooperated admirably despite the disruption to their evening safari. This couple has been with me for the past few days, and this is our second rescue mission together.
