On the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2026, observed globally on 21st June, Jhargram Palace Heritage, in association with the Tourism Wing of the District Administration of Jhargram, organized a special yoga session for the Royal family members and staff of Jhargram Palace in line with this year's theme, "Yoga for Health."

Recognizing yoga as a powerful tool for maintaining physical vitality, mental well-being, and emotional balance, the session encouraged to embrace a healthier and more active lifestyle. The participants enthusiastically joined the programme, experiencing firsthand the benefits of yoga in promoting flexibility, strength, relaxation, and overall wellness.

On Friday ,the US Consulate Kolkata in collaboration with INTACH Calcutta chapter, organised a special presentation - 'Preserving the Past,Composing the Future.

INTACH members Rk Shri Vikramaditya Malla Dev respresent Jhargram Heritage and Shri GM Kapoor ,Director of INTACH Conservation Institute were present in the packed Lincon Hall which regaled with storytelling and interactions.The U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata is one of the oldest American diplomatic missions in the world and the oldest in India. It was established on November 21, 1792.

The Royal Family of Jhargram had shared a strong positive relation with the United States of America specially during the Second World War since the Americans had a military base at Dudhkundi in Jhargram.
