Located at the banks of Vembanad Lake ,the bird sanctuary spreads across the 14 acres.The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is an ornithologists' paradise.It is located close to Kumarakom Village in Kuttanad region which has become synonymous with backwater tourism in Kerala.The main attrcations are waterfowl,egret,heron,cormorant and Brahminy kite.Migratory birds from Himalayas and as far away as Siberia make the sanctuary their home during winter between November and May. Siberian cranes are the most prominent visitors to the park. Houseboat and motorboats are available on hire for bird watching.

One of the most visited places in Mysore by locals and by tourists is the famous Brindavan Garden.Located about 19 km from the heart of Mysore these beautiful gardens are laid out below the Krishnaraja Sagar Dam built across the river Cauvery.These gardens are famous for the illuminated dancing fountains that come to life after sunset.The best time to visit the garden is after sunset when all the bright colorful fountains come alive and seem to dance with the joy to the accompanying music.The Brindavan Garden remains illuminated from 7.00 pm to 7.55 pm from Monday to Wednesday and from 7.00 pm to 8.55 pm to Saturdays and Sundays.

Paithalmala(Paithal means"infant"and mala means"hills" ) is one of the mind blowing Hill Stations in the Kannur District.Some call it as "Vaithalmala",which is situated in the Western Ghats near Kerala-Karnataka border.The nearest bus stop to the Paithalmala is Kudiyanmala.Paithalmala is 9 km far from Kudiyanmala.Paithalmala is located near to Kappimala village at a height of 1371.6 m above sea level, this is the highest peak in Kannur. These Mountain ranges extend to about 500 acres and are fully covered with dense forest.A wide variety of Flora and Fauna can be found here and the view of valleys and Mountains from here are breathtaking.Some other attractions of this place include Waterfalls and Wild life.Summer Season is the best time to visit the Paithalamala.

Muthanga Wild Life Sanctuary is the abode for a wide variety of wild life and beautiful birds.Sanctuary occupies a total area of 345 kilometers.It will take a whole day and more to visit the sanctuary fully.Muthangha Wid Life Sanctuary is also known as Waynadu Wild Life Sanctuary.The sanctuary is situated on the Kerala side of Western Ghats.The major Wild Life attractions in this sanctuary are Sloth Bears,Reptiles,Sambhar,Elephants,Tigers,Monkeys,Spotted Dear,Panthers,Civet Cats,Bison,Lizards,Wild Dogs,Dears,Leopard and Lion Tailored Macaque.Brightly colored Peacocks can also spotted in the area .The trees and plants in the Sanctuary are typical of the South Indian most deciduous forests and and west coast semi ever green forests.A drive along the road of Muthanga and further,offers chances to watch animals roaming in their natural habitats.Elephant rides are also arranged by the Forest Department.
