The Thookbolcha is a traditional hanging lamp used by the Kodava community of Coorg. Made of brass or bronze, it features a bowl-like structure to hold oil, adorned with intricate designs, and hangs by a chain. This lamp is lit with cotton wicks, symbolizing light and prosperity. It's a significant part of Kodava rituals, commonly used during weddings, festivals like Puthari, and housewarming ceremonies, reflecting spiritual and cultural values.
