Hellooo people! Are you ready to have an unforgettable weekend experience in Delhi on the 3rd of December? The meet-up will start at 12 p.m. Venue is yet to be announced and we shall update it here once it’s fixed. We are so excited to be back in the city after so many years. It’s the most fulfilling feeling to curate a raw experience filled with crazy stories, wholesome conversations, kickass ideas and wild dreams.

At Experiential Living Project, we’ve built a huge community over time and we would like to catch up with you all. Whether you’ve been to Mudhouse Hostels, attended any of our events, been a part of our experiences in Delhi or other cities or you’re absolutely new to us, we would love to host you. That said, while we’d love to have as many of you as possible, we do have limited spots so if you’re sure you can make it, please register right away!

Those 13 days in Jibhi (Part 2) :

He spoke about Nanu, the eldest member of the Mudhouse clan. When Mudhouse had just started, Nanu asked him if he could help them with the work there, but Rahul was a little apprehensive keeping his age in mind. Oh, we laugh thinking about how wrong he was to even think like that! This man walks for an hour to the hostel every morning, helps them in cleaning the area, makes sure the café is neat and tidy before everyone wakes up and never takes any leaves unnecessarily. Not only that, he asks for salary only when he has to pay for his granddaughter’s school fee. But, let me tell you, all these are just his side chores. His main job was to just be there and spread his aura all around the place. His presence, his smiley face, his wit, his stories, his curiousness to know about our lives in the cities, his laughter and his warmth never failed to make everyone feel at home. He is one of the major reasons why people revisit Mudhouse. It’s true, age is just a number and Nanu is a living example of that.

It was my first night in the hostel, and I, like any other first time solo traveller had my guard on. I met my co – hostellers later in the evening and we all huddled up together to celebrate one of the guy’s birthday. His name? Sandeep urf Guruji. Now Sandeep is one of the sweetest guys I have ever met. He is a vivacious person. He is someone who feels a lot and always tries to make everyone feel a part of the group. He is a gem.

It was an eventful night. We tried some local drinks, had meaningful conversations, shared stories, spoke about our dreams and played some Himachali music. When the clock was about to strike 12, we decided to go to Jibhi waterfall and made Sandeep cut his birthday cake there. We spent quality time under the stars, listening to the sound of water droplets falling from the high of the fall. It was my first night here and I couldn’t be happier. There were a number of thoughts running in my mind at that moment, but I remember looking up at the sky and feeling grateful for just being there.

Oh Jibhi, I think I am already in love with you!

What a day in the history of our existence.

For some one it was the best day in last 8 months, for some it was the best thing ever to happen in 2020, endless experiences.

The last 24 hours at Mudhouse Jibhi, remote team of and all you awesome people in the community of , it was something we have never seen before.

Right from listening to the solo travel experiences of
, Tips on Couchsurfing and volunteering, to the table, revealing of their self created card game for travellers, to exploring the life's purpose with methods, to those conversations which actually made sense from people of the various corners of the country. Wao! It was surreal virtual 4 hours.

Our amazing travellers at Mudhouse, damn, every single person was just there in their maximum capacity, over the bonfire, over the maggi, over the art tables, wow. Travellers from all across the world, wow, it was so good to meet you all.

And the best part, our homie insured to keep you entertained with local folks between the table, to the stories of , energy.

You guys are pure love 💛
We have never met such powerful community before. There are endless thank yous and gratitude to amazing volunteers who made this possible, ,amazing travellers and facilitators and our homies. Thank you all for being awesome.

This definitely marks end to our first virtual meet and beginning of more?

Don't plan your days, when you are choosing for your experiences in Jibhi. We will un-plan your days to make you experience which you could not have experienced yourself.

Such explorations are not possible with everyone although, but we ensure to take out our way if you are staying long term with us, that gives enough flexibility to fit you and us in our plans.

A proud moment too, we have finally worked out a concept of installing roof top Pop up tent for your cars. Manpreet has designed, manufactured and has been testing this product for a month and thousands of kms, and we proudly open pre-orders for your cars. It is the climbing of the mountain that makes the view from the top so breathtaking. - Richard C Miller

Having a base at Mudhouse in Jibhi, gives us access to a lot of outdoor experiences. Not because the treks and hikes are accessible, but because the kind of people who know these mountains better, happen to be our around.

It was one evening, when Rahul wanted to go for a wild camping experience and shared it with Hansu bhai, Mahi and Bijurika hopped in to live the experience together, and this was the best thing to happen.

We geared up with a tent, sleeping bags, butane Gas stove, cooking utensils, trekking shoes, poles, torch, an axe to help us survive and headed on for a week of experiences to Lambhri Peak. The idea was not to just reach the top but, live the experiences every moment.

We chose the way through dense forests, climbed up for two days, camped around with mountain dogs and got some shepherd's as friends at around 3700 metres high from sea level.

It was all foggy for the days we camped, where there was one moment, when we lived out loud when the sky got clear, every direction, was home to the ranges of Pir Panjal, overlooking, The Great Himalayan National Park, sun was playing hide and seek around the clouds, where sheep were the larger living beings around with some birds strolling, while the shepherd and their dog was our closest neighbour. We lived.

The idea of sharing this story was to help you plan a mindset when you are at that don't plan your days, we will help you un-plan and never say no to any beginnings when you are here, saying no will make you miss out on a beautiful experience.

Tip: This is the best time to be at Mudhouse, because it will have few people and we will be comparatively free to live with you together and you can get yourself engrossed on more of such local experiences, we are open for reservations, Call/Whatsapp at 9459895806.
We recommend at least a week of stay to live and travel slowly at the same time.

Jibhi is preparing itself for reviving tourism.Jibhi wants everyone safe.

Entire valley has got together, to train, facilitate, procure, certify and ensure safety at all the properties.

Jibhi valley reopens 1st September 2020.
