Under the bright sun, the canal glistens… calm, steady, and full of life. Then, as seasons shift, it begins to fade, its waters retreating, leaving behind an empty, silent channel.

With the arrival of monsoon, it transforms once again - swelling with muddy, restless waters, carrying the force of distant rains. And as the currents settle, the canal turns clear and blue - flowing gently through the landscape.

Within the ecosystem of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, this ever-changing canal is more than water -
it is a lifeline, sustaining forests, fields, and the life that depends on it.
