In the heart of Delhi stands the Shanti Stupa, a beacon of peace gifted by the Japanese, mirroring the ancient wisdom of Rajgir. Decades ago, monks journeyed from Rajgir—where Buddha once preached on the Gridhakuta hill—to spread his message of peace. Inspired by Rajgir’s Vishwa Shanti Stupa, they brought the same vision to Delhi. Both stupas, though miles apart, are spiritual siblings—twin flames lit by the teachings of the Buddha. As the wind circles the stupa in Delhi, it carries whispers from Rajgir, binding past and present, East and North, in a shared prayer for global harmony.

I hope, you also get the chance to experience the mist of the rainy season in Rajgir at Shanti Stupa.
The secret is just start early! Around 5am if possible.

We started our hostel 6 months back. A couple of things are still going on but we have seen a good number of amazing visitors in the last month starting 2 months were slow but then things changed. Starting a hostel in a small town was always a tough call. We hope that by involving people on authentic experience we will establish ourselves slowly in the market.
So far , we have found that talking with guests is very very important from all the other activities.
What you expect once you are in NikunjDorme or any other hostel/hotel in any part of the world?

Even though we have a ln inhouse food point named as Udayana, but work around us cannot go unnoticed. Here ,we would like to discuss Makhanlal, he is local of Rajgir and runs the affordable most cleaned restaurant of Rajgir, single handedly. He takes the time to serve you but you will feel the wait time is worth it. He is just in front of the Relaince smart point in Rajgir. We are helping him to increase digital presence but we wish it remained a hidden spot that does not go viral on Instagram.
