The borgo/ hamlet sits 700m up in the valley, on the Umbrian-Tuscan border. 2.5hr drive from Rome or 1.5 hr drive from Florence. The House
Casa Padronale - the main house - has 7 bedrooms, 6 of which have queen double beds and the last having two singles. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 drawing rooms, 1 dining room and 1 kitchen. There is a lovely stand alone terrace looking down upon the valley, front a
nd rear lawns and a swimming pool at the front of the borgo. Children
The house has 2 permanent cots and 1 travel cot with all the associated bedding. There is a child's bath, 3 high chairs as well as 1 push chair. Winter
Open fire places exist on all floors - with the one in the dining room being large. Chapel (Weddings and Christenings)
There is an unconsecrated chapel, which can be used for christenings, weddings and other religious festivals. Christmas / New Year / Chinese New Year / Easter / Summer / Thanksgiving
The house caters to all of the above as is an ideal get away location for family, extended family and friends. Environment
The house has made significant investment to be low impact. The water comes from a lake and a well. PV cells generate some of the power and water solar heaters give hot water in the summer months. During the winter, a dedicated wood chip burner fires up the radiators and hot water. Food scraps go to a garden compost. The wood for the open fires comes from the local forests and is seasoned.
