What an Epic summer of riding in the Piemonte. From vineyards to the alps! You can ride it all from Deiso! One of my favorites is up to the ski resort Prato Nevoso! U can ride all year round in various layers of clothing on hundreds of kms of different routes! 🫣😅….. September and March are my favorite months. Depending on the season each visit but the view can be amazing then.

So far it’s been a month of adventures and miss-adventures. The pool if any one asks is a work-in-progress. I say no more. Getting approvals and people to work has been a nightmare but now Italy is back to work I’m hoping for more progress. I’m certainly on the learning curve of a lifetime 🫣😳.. am I making mistakes most definitely and it is two steps forward one step back a lot of the time which can make some day’s enormously overwhelming but the dream and vision remain solid! Work in progress!!! Grazie mille to Davide Locci who some how always manages to save the day and has a solution for most problems 💪🙏🙏🙏🙏!

The gym! Bubzee, Davide and myself started fixing up this room in April. It’s taken forever and wasn’t without it’s challenges, largely due to my lack of handy man knowledge. Paint was either peeling off because I bought the wrong type or i didn’t buy enough. Need to finish off the doors one day but for now it’s done! The floor artwork curtesy of Bubzee done when she had had enough of painting the walls 🤣.

Highly recommend w**e tasting Anna Maria Abbona Winery cantina nelle Langhe . A friendly fun atmosphere and great view. Generous tastings. A very good range of typical Langhe w**es.

Out scouting new hiking turf with Casavabene Appartamenti . A moderate hike with the potential for a long afternoon stop by a beautiful lake before you descend back to the car. Loop about 10-11km and 600m elevation. Pack your picnic bag for this one. Many hiking options available at Rocca La Meja

Rewarded with a fantastic sunset after a day of figuring out what to do with some stuff! There are so many chairs and this is a fraction of what was originally left here!

What a place to stay! Thanks Matteo Aielli can’t recommend this enough to anyone up for the full Italian mountain experience. Nestled in the hills at Ponte di Legno Matteo is the perfect host! And he can cook! Gnocchi or pizza from his home made oven! Bring your bike and hiking shoes cause it’s just so beautiful here!
