Inizia la nostra nuova rassegna culinaria autunnale e invernale, e siamo felici di invitarvi a partecipare! Il nostro chef Casentinese, Maurizio, con passione e creatività, ha ideato un menu speciale per ogni weekend, pensato per celebrare i sapori, le tradizioni e la gioia dello stare insieme.

Vi aspettiamo a Gello, un luogo ricco di storia, memorie familiari e legami autentici, che desideriamo condividere con voi attraverso piatti deliziosi e un’atmosfera che vi farà sentire a casa.

G A R D E N
There is nothing more satisfying that creating a meal from what you discover in the garden. The result? Roasted pumpkin and garlic risotto topped with fresh ricotta and fried sage. Cavallo nero, fennel, apple and toasted walnut salad with a mustard and apple vinegar dressing, followed by baked figs in honey with yogurt. Not forgetting the obligatory coffee to finish of course!

Making the most delicious dishes from small forgotten cuts of meat, wild fruits, roots and herbs, and best of all - doing all this under glorious Tuscan Autumn sun. One of our beautiful villas in Castello nestled right into the bottom of the borgo overlooking the stream and valley below. 2 double bedrooms, one house master double with en-suite. Cosy living room with wood burning stove with stairs down to the open plan kitchen diner leading out to the glorious terrace and garden below.
This self catering house is available to book all year round - perhaps the perfect place to send a long weekend in Autumn or even an intimate family Christmas!

AUTUMN
The trees are slowly turning a glorious shade of golden whilst we enjoy the last of the lazy days by the pool. The water is still warm from the summer sun, the air is calm and warm, and the figs are ripe and juicy on the trees begging to be plucked. A perfect time of year for a quiet getaway, some well deserved you time, to hike, bike, swim, or simply read a book in a hammock and watch the sun cross the sky.

F R I E N D S
Often we say that you will forget you have kids during your week with us, because you never see them - always off exploring with their new friends, hatching plans in some common language they’ve created themselves. But this time it was the adults that made all the fun, and christened Castello with its first ever (ok, for a few 100 years) residents dinner party. It looks wonderful guys … wish we were invited!!
