This year, I discovered the world of ultra-cycling and was immediately drawn to Lost Dot; in awe of riders who take on these incomprehensible competitive adventures, and of those who dedicated their lives to make it possible.

TPRNo4 was one of the best experiences that I will never be able to describe. Right places, wrong times, perfect parcours, stunning scenery, and genuinely awesome fellow riders.

I’m terrified of descents, wind, mechanicals, cold hands, food, and Instagram posts. I'm not brave, and a list of what terrifies me would stretch longer than my route. But at this moment what I'm most terrified of is not being one of the hundred FLINTA dots at TCRNo11.

We’ve all got fears, and hands down the scariest thing I've done in cycling so far is putting in my application for TCRNo11. Hopefully I'll be in Spain 2025 with my jersey pockets stuffed full of nerves, and it would be an honour to be there with other riders. Humbled to be there with world record holders and inspirational riders. I'll have to get the confidence to say hello (but that's next year's problem).

Together let's see what's possible, one pedal stroke at a time. Whatever happens, it's going to be fun, an adventure, and an epic achievement getting to the start line. Every km after is a bonus.

Goal one: 🏁 I made it to the start line.

This is a huge thank you to everyone that made it possible to get me to the start of the TPR. My first and primary goal, and a super proud moment for me. Every km after the start is a bonus.

There are too many names, but to summarise:

♥️ My Mum. For supporting me every step and following my every dot move. You are amazing Mum and so proud to be your daughter.

🚲 My coaches, currently Danny from RCA who is just a top bloke and getting brilliant results surprising us all. I've loved training for this event and can't wait to get back into it for the next one!

💻 Work. The amazing world record holders, athletes, adventurers, colleagues and managers who support me and inspire me every day. It's so awesome and feel so privileged to work at Google. Shame we still have to do work and can't just chat about bikes all day.

👫 Friends... thanks for still being my friend even when suddenly cycling is now 99% of what I want to talk, think and do. And thanks to all the new friends I've made because of this amazing sport.

🌈 My cycle club LVCC! You lot are the very best and I'm beyond glad I got the guts to join.

🥗 My nutritionalist, who is teaching me how to fuel and eat well. I want to continue cycling for decades to come.

🐕 Frankie, my dog, whom I'm missing so much and can't wait to see. Thanks for being my best friend and always welcoming me back from a ride with a wag and excitement to sit on my legs for pats and force me to rest.

🌏 All the athletes, authors and influencers around the world. Emily Chappell, Jenny Tough, Jenny Graham... Your words are poetry and have changed my life. Thank you. Also huge thank you to all who share your videos, story's and more. Ive consumed a tonne of content and I love every moment. You don't get thanked enough.

Today I drove the Ape. It's a thing of beauty. Hand crank start, manual window washers, have to give it a shake to ensure the petrol oil mix is ok, and the newest feature is the electric indicators. It will take a while before this
