Hiking boots and a bathrobe. You’ll want both here.

I filmed these little moments at Green Luxury Hotel Pfösl in South Tyrol. Watching them back, I’m ready to pack again.

What I love is how easily you can combine a proper walking holiday with a few days of doing very little. Head out into the surrounding meadows and forests, spend the morning walking, then come back to the heated infinity pool with the Dolomites still in view. There are eight saunas, too, so leave some time for those.

You could fill your days with hiking. You could spend most of them in a bathrobe. I’d make room for both.
The menu in the evening is also delicious by the way.

Ein schönes Hotel erkennt man auf Bildern. Was es besonders macht, erlebst Du erst vor Ort.

Wer führt das Haus? Woher kommt das Essen? Was wird erhalten, statt neu gebaut? Und was bleibt von unserem Besuch vor Ort?

Genau dieses Dahinter interessiert mich. Deshalb habe ich Select Green Hotels am 27. September 2021 gelauncht, am Welttag des Tourismus. 🌿

Unser Ziel damals und heute: Hotels sichtbar machen, die Design, Gastfreundschaft und Verantwortung für ihre Umgebung verbinden.

Seitdem ist viel passiert:
→ Austausch mit inspirierenden Hoteliers
→ Talks über nachhaltiges Reisen auf Konferenzen
→ Artikel in ELLE, MADAME, SZ und BUNTE uvm.
→ eigene Pop-Up Location und Presse-Events
→ 102 handverlesene Hotels in 18 Ländern

Was zwischen diesen Clips liegt, lässt sich schwerer zeigen: die vielen Gespräche mit Menschen, die ihre Häuser mit Überzeugung führen. Die Details, die bei einer Besichtigung auffallen und auf keinem Foto zu sehen sind. Die Arbeit daran, Nachhaltigkeit transparent und nachvollziehbar zu machen.

Heute möchte ich vor allem Danke sagen. Unseren Hoteliers für ihr Vertrauen. Allen, die Select Green Hotels mit aufgebaut und begleitet haben. Und Euch, die hier mitlesen, Hotels entdecken und über uns reisen.

In Conversation with Tamaris Auer, Co-Owner of SEEHOF Nature Retreat

Opened where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, OKU Andalusia set out to be a destination rather than a stopover. This sustainable luxury hotel opened in July 2025 on the La Alcaidesa coast, between Sotogrande and the Los Alcornocales cork oak forest. It’s OKU’s first family resort and first property on the Spanish mainland.
