At home, an aperitivo never looks quite like this. The red isn’t as saturated, the lemon never catches the light in the same way, the ice melts too quickly. But maybe it’s not really the drink that changes.
It’s the light, the time, the feeling that there’s nowhere else you need to be.
And suddenly even something simple can feel perfect.

A casa, un aperitivo non ha questo aspetto. Il rosso non è così saturo, il limone non è così vibrante, il ghiaccio si scioglie quasi subito. Ma non è davvero il drink a cambiare.
È la luce, il tempo, la sensazione di non dover essere da nessun’altra parte.

In summer, an authentic Italian lunch has its own special way of bringing the day back into balance.
