Eastern Rosella.

The eastern rosella (Platycercus eximius) is a parrot native and endemic to south-eastern Australia.

Blue and yellow rosella with a bright red head/chest and white cheeks. May hybridize with Pale-headed Rosella in areas where the distribution overlaps in far north New South Wales and southeastern Queensland (hybrids typically show some red on the head, but with more blue on the chest; they look a bit washed out). Occurs in open forests and woodlands and may also be found in parks and gardens. Normal range is south eastern Australia and Tasmania. Introduced populations occur in New Zealand.

🇮🇹L’obbiettivo di Juan Sanchez Photo rivolto verso il cielo del Battistero ci regala una visione quasi mistica della perfezione geometrica di quest’edificio ottagonale e ci fa assaggiare un frammento della luce del Paradiso nell’oro dell’immenso mosaico della volta🤩. È davvero un’immagine appropriata per questa data: oggi la Chiesa festeggia l’ , cioè quando Gesù risorto ritornò al Cielo e gli Apostoli lo videro scomparire tra le nuvole.
❤️Vi auguriamo una splendida domenica di sole e riposo🌞.

🌎The lens of facing toward the sky of the Baptistery gives us an almost mystical vision of the geometric perfection of this octagonal building and lets us taste a fragment of the light of Paradise in the gold of the immense mosaic of the vault🤩. It is truly an appropriate image for this date: today the Church celebrates the , when the risen Jesus came back to Heaven and the Apostles saw him disappear in the clouds.
