Just a short walk from Onsen Co-Living, we visited BB Double B, a local burger restaurant serving up some seriously delicious burgers! 🍔

We tried the Onsen Bun Burger, made with an onsen-inspired bun, and the Avocado Burger. The beef was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, while the avocado added a creamy touch. 🥑

A great local spot to grab a burger and enjoy a little taste of Beppu!

A day of light, shadows, and storytelling at Synergiez Beppu. ✨

We had the pleasure of learning from Sensei Yamanaka, who works with both Chinese and Japanese styles of shadow puppetry.

Together, we created our own characters and brought them to life through light and shadow, eventually creating our very own shadow puppet play.

Shadow Puppet Day 🎭✨

A little magic of light, shadow, and storytelling at Synergiez Beppu!

Today, we had the pleasure of learning from Sensei Yamanaka, who is exploring the art of shadow puppetry through both Chinese and Japanese styles.

During the workshop, we created our own characters and brought them together to make a short shadow puppet play. This video captures the full performance we created together.

From handmade characters to storytelling through light and shadow, it was a beautiful way to connect with traditional art while creating something new in Beppu.

30 years ago, the “Beppu Hachiyu Katsute ni Dokuritsu Sengen” was made here, celebrating the eight hot spring areas of Beppu and the pride of the people who call them home.

What began as a local movement to rediscover and share the charm of each area has grown into a lasting part of Beppu’s culture and community.

Today, Beppu Hachiyu continues to bring people together, from the local community to visitors from around Japan and the world.

30 years, and the story continues. ♨️
