These flowers slept for 2,000 years before blooming... 🤯🪷

The lotus flowers in Chiba Park came from seeds that were buried for two millennia! 🏛️✨

In 1951, researcher Ichiro Ooga uncovered the ancient seeds at an archaeological site in Chiba. They were planted, miraculously woke up, and bloomed into the gorgeous Ooga Lotus you see today.

Now, this flowers is the official symbol of Chiba City and inspired its adorable mascot, Chihana-chan!
