Kaitaku-no-Mura, the historical village of Hokkaido, is an open-air museum. We are located just outside the city of Sapporo. It is a fantastic and very interesting museum that houses about fifty buildings from the time of the island's colonization.

By car, it is 1 hour and 40 minutes away from our B&B. It’s not far, making it ideal for a day trip.

Kaitaku no Mura, a fantastic museum to learn about the history, including its dramatic aspects, of the island's colonization.

Yesterday, December 15th, the first substantial snowfall finally arrived in Date.

The first few centimeters of snow have arrived in Date, on the island of Hokkaido. Everything is covered in a pristine white blanket.
