Around the Happo Gondola lift station, the Mexican restaurant as well as Koiya and Maeda were open for business! We recommend Ringo-ya near Soma! The tasting set with soba and walnut dipping sauce is delicious. Although Google says they are open, they might close immediately once sold out, so watch out for that!

Every day, warm (hot) days continue in Hakuba Village, and the early-blooming cherry blossoms are a sight to see! Depending on the location, Somei Yoshino cherry blossom trees are about three-quarters bloomed. The cherry blossoms on the grounds of Soma Residence look like this. They might be in full bloom or starting to fall by the first half of Golden Week... How about enjoying cherry blossom viewing or a BBQ at Soma?

昨日、今日の白馬村は暖かく登山客さんも少しずつ増えてきました！

Yesterday's heavy rain melted quite a bit of snow. Here's the situation around the Happo gondola area and Nakiyama ski slope! The people skiing on Nakiyama ski slope seem to be very skilled, maybe they were doing a photo shoot. Looks like you’re able to ski higher up you go, but... we’ll also check out the Tsugakushi area~ The hikers around Happo are gradually increasing it seems!

名木山滑っていた人は撮影かな、メッサ上手な人達だった。

In Hakuba, a lot of the snow has melted on the plains over the past two days... As a memory, while shoveling snow, we made a series of snowmen when there were children staying at Soma Residence. Duck, bear, raccoon, Anpanman-style. We wonder if the children who were delighted are doing well... ☃️

One of the go to onsen in Hakuba Village is Happo no Yu! But sometimes you just want to sweat it out in a big bath + sauna, right? Since saunas are scarce and pricey in Hakuba Village... We recommend “Pokapoka Land Miasa.” It’s a spacious and affordable sauna facility for only 600 yen, perfect for those returning via the Nagano Expressway.◎
