Elegant Handmade Soba & Warabi Mochi
Located along the scenic Dankazura path, Kosuzu is a beautiful renovated Japanese house from the early Showa period, where you can enjoy the refined taste of ultra-thin, handmade soba noodles. The delicate texture and fragrance of the noodles offer a completely new soba experience, even for those familiar with Japanese cuisine.

The warm wooden interior and gentle greenery enhance the overall dining experience, making every bite feel special. I also tried their duck meat soba and handmade warabi mochi, both of which were exceptional. The warabi mochi is made with rare bracken starch, hand-kneaded daily in copper pots, and served with brown sugar syrup from Okinawa’s Hateruma Island—truly a melt-in-your-mouth treat.

If you’re exploring Kamakura, this peaceful spot is a must-visit for a quiet, elegant lunch or a delightful Japanese gift.

One of the most iconic places to enjoy cherry blossoms in Kamakura is Wakamiya Oji Avenue, where a stunning sakura-lined boulevard leads you toward Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Walking under the arching cherry blossoms here feels like stepping into a postcard.
