During my visit to Tokyo, I had the privilege of meeting the legendary Ken Wakiyama, a prominent YouTuber in Japan and a key figure at Life and Coffee Limited. To my delight, he also served as my host. Our conversations delved deep into the nuances of our Black Honey process, a technique rooted in Ngacha Coffee Estate’s passion for innovation and sustainability.

What began as a simple chat blossomed into something profound. Thanks to our trusted partners at Jabali Coffee, we have forged a partnership that aligns perfectly with our farm’s vision—producing award-winning coffee while fostering long-term relationships built on trust, quality, and mutual growth.

After attending the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan Conference in Tokyo, I decided to explore Koffee Mameya—and what an experience it has been! Waiting 25 minutes in line was well worth it for the chance to savor a cup of meticulously crafted coffee, priced at Kshs 1,900.

The atmosphere is intimate and refined, with each cup sourced from only the world’s most renowned roasters. From the variety on offer to the precision with which every cup is prepared, every moment has been mind-blowing. It’s not just coffee here—it’s a journey through the art and passion that defines specialty coffee.

Tokyo continues to impress, and this experience will linger with me for a long time.

With over 200 Sample Lots from all over Kenya presented, We are ecstatic to announce that the following two Lots were in the Top Ten
- Fully washed
- Anaerobic Natural

We also had another lot come in at Number 12.

We did secure long term business connection and we look forward to the next
