こんばんわ。暑い日が続きますが、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。本日から当館の向かい側に、新しくカフェがオープンしました。GION COFFEE NANAFUKUさんです。八坂神社のすぐ近くにある人気のお店の2号店ですね。ランチで利用しましたが、コーヒーだけじゃなく、フードもかなり充実してます。パスタの他にオムライス、クロワッサンやクラブサンドなどどれも美味しそうです。イートイン、テイクアウトどちら可能ですので是非行ってみて下さい。営業時間の変更はあるかもしれませんが、朝7時30分にオープンします。皆様明日も良い1日をお過ごし下さいませ。

Good evening. I hope everyone is doing well despite the continuing hot weather. A new café called "GION COFFEE NANAFUKU" opened today right across from our hotel. It is the second location of a popular shop situated near Yasaka Shrine. I stopped by for lunch, and the menu offers a great selection of food in addition to coffee. They serve dishes like pasta and *omurice* (omelet rice), as well as croissants and club sandwiches—everything looks delicious. Both dine-in and take-out options are available, so please do give it a try. They open at 7:30 AM, though business hours may be subject to change. I wish you all a wonderful day tomorrow.

こんばんわ。暑い日が続きますね。京都発祥のラーメン屋さんはたくさんありますが、ここたか松さんも京都発祥です。ラーメンはもちろん、つけ麺も魚介の味が濃厚でとても美味しいです。四条烏丸や河原町、京都駅、二条と主要な場所にあるので行きやすいんです。是非ご賞味下さい。皆様明日も良い1日をお過ごし下さいませ。

Good evening. The hot days continue, don't they? There are many ramen shops that originated in Kyoto, and Takamatsu is one of them. Not only is their ramen excellent, but their *tsukemen* (dipping noodles) is also delicious, featuring a rich seafood-based broth. They have locations in key areas like Shijo-Karasuma, Kawaramachi, Kyoto Station, and Nijo, making them very convenient to visit. I highly recommend giving them a try. おはようございます。本日の京都市は晴れ時々曇り。連日の酷暑日になる予報です。さて、しばらくの間当館の向かい側で工事をしてて、何ができるのかと思ってたのですが「GION COFFEE NANAFUKU」さんができるみたいです。ななふくさんは八坂神社のすぐ近くにある凄く人気のあるコーヒーショップです。コーヒーだけでなく、フードも充実しててほんとに美味しいんですよ。個人的にかなりうれしい。オープンしたら必ず行きます。皆様今週も良い一週間をお過ごし下さいませ。

Good morning. It is sunny with occasional clouds in Kyoto today, and the forecast calls for another day of intense heat. Construction has been underway across the street from our hotel for some time, and I had been wondering what was being built; it turns out "GION COFFEE NANAFUKU" is opening there. Nanafuku is a hugely popular coffee shop located right near Yasaka Shrine. They offer not only great coffee but also a fantastic food menu—everything is truly delicious. I am personally very excited about this and will definitely visit once they open. I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead.

Good evening. It was incredibly hot again today, and it looks like tomorrow will be just as sweltering. With temperatures sometimes exceeding 30°C even in the morning and at night, please be sure to use your air conditioner to keep your room cool while you sleep. By the way, the photo shows Kyoto Tower; it lights up beautifully like this at night. The station building and the Skyway offer spots where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Kyoto Tower and the city for free. If you are in the area, please do stop by and take a look. Good morning. It is a sunny day in Kyoto, but with a daytime high of 37°C, conditions are becoming dangerously hot. The Gion Festival is currently underway and runs through the end of the month; while various events take place over the course of the month, today and tomorrow feature the *Yamaboko Hikizome* and *Kakizome*—the ceremonial first pulling and carrying of the festival floats. These are essentially test runs where the assembled floats are moved just as they would be during the main procession, offering a rare opportunity for the public to join in by pulling the ropes. こんばんわ。祇園祭は7月1日から1カ月に渡ってさまざまな祭事が行われますが、本日は山鉾巡行がありました。朝9時から祇園囃子を奏でながら、長刀鉾を先頭に23基の山鉾が巡行します。また夕方からは八坂神社で神事が行われた後、3基の神輿が舞殿から降ろされ、それぞれ所定の氏子地域を巡ります。明日からも後祭としてさまざまな祭事が行われますので、是非祇園祭をお楽しみ下さい。皆様明日も良い1日をお過ごし下さいませ。

Good evening. The Gion Festival spans the entire month of July with a variety of events, and today featured the Yamaboko Junko (float procession). Starting at 9:00 a.m., twenty-three *yamaboko* floats—led by the Naginata-boko—paraded through the streets accompanied by the traditional Gion *hayashi* music. Later in the evening, following a ritual ceremony at Yasaka Shrine, three portable shrines (*mikoshi*) were brought down from the *Maiden* (dance pavilion) to tour their respective designated parishioner districts. おはようございます。本日は午後から曇り空になりそうですが、本日も猛暑日になりそうな京都です。朝と夜でさえ暑く、もう暑いとしか言えなくなってきたこの頃です。もちろんお出かけは良いですが、こんな暑い日は涼しい美術館なんていかがでしょうか？京都市京セラ美術館は当館から歩いて10分ほどです。また本日は祇園祭の宵々山になります。日が落ちた夕方頃には、四条通りや烏丸通りの一部が歩行者天国になり、露店も出店されます。皆様本日も熱中症には気をつけて良い1日をお過ごし下さいませ。

Good morning. Although it looks like the sky will turn cloudy this afternoon, Kyoto is set for another day of scorching heat. It is hot even in the mornings and evenings; lately, "hot" is the only word that seems to describe it. While going out is certainly a great idea, why not visit a cool art museum on a day like this? The Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art is just a ten-minute walk from our hotel. Also, today marks "Yoiyoiyama"—the second night of the Gion Festival's main festivities. As evening falls, sections of Shijo-dori and Karasuma-dori will become pedestrian zones, and street stalls will line the roads. Please take care to avoid heatstroke and have a wonderful day.
