こういうのは本当に嬉しいです。
This makes our morning very special.

今朝、早いチェックアウトでお見送りできなかったゲストが、メッセージをベッドに残してくれていました。日本へは初めて来られた、一人で旅行中の中国の女性でした。ホテルに宿泊していたら、おそらくどの国籍の人もこういうことはしないと思います。ゲストハウスならではの経験をできていることに感謝感謝！！
She left early in the morning and we couldn't say bye in person. And she, a lady from China, traveling alone for the first time in Japan, left us a message on her bed. I think no one would do this staying in a hotel, but people would in this kind of accommodation where we really get to know each other. Thanks to the guest, thanks to CaminoRo, thank you all! :)

【閉店のお知らせ -Guesthouse CaminoRo is closing down soon-】

ゲストハウスかみのろは、２０１７年１月末で閉店します！
We are going to close down our guesthouse at the end of this month!

２０１０年、３０代半ばで結婚したばかりの僕たち二人は、人脈ゼロ、経験ゼロ、貯金もゼロ(笑)の状態からゲストハウスを始めました。
We started CaminoRo in 2010. We didn’t know exactly what, but we just wanted to do something that could support people from overseas.

無謀とも思える夫婦の挑戦開始から６年と数ヶ月が経ちました。
It’s been more than 6 years since we started the challenge.

本当に、本当にいろいろなことがありました。
毎日世界中の人たちと生活を共にし、触れ合うことができる仕事なんて、他にはないと思います。楽しいこと、勉強になること、うれしいこと、悲しいこと、大変なこと。
かみのろは、自分たちに貴重な経験と時間をもたらしてくれました。
We went through lots and lots of things. It’s been fun, happy, sad, difficult, but everything happened because people came to our place. We feel very fortunate and really appreciate that.

子供も二人生まれました。
長女はかみのろと同じ２０１０年生まれ。この春、小学校に入学します。
ゲストの方々にも随分やさしくしていただきました。
We now have two children. The older one was born in 2010, same as CaminoRo. She is already excited about starting her elementary school this spring. People from everywhere held her when she was little, which I think she is very lucky.

そろそろ、僕たちは次の目標へ向かうことにします。
We think it’s time for us to go on to the next stage.

これまでかみのろに関わったすべての方、かみのろがあるサンティフル三国商店街の皆さま、そしてかみのろにお泊まりいただいたゲストの方々、本当にありがとうございました。
We’d like to thank everyone who’s been involved in what we have done for CaminoRo, Mikuni shopping street where we are located, and all guests who stayed here with us. Thank you all very much!!!

個人的にすごーく気になります。
その日はうちのパパさんの大阪マラソンの日なので、、、

朝起きたら、、、かみのろのラウンジがお花で飾られてました〜
Wow! Had a great surprising morning with a flower decoration that one of our guests did! She checked out very early in the morning leaving the nicest flowers with the kindest message for us. :) We feel so fortunate that we meet someone like her at our little guesthouse. You are too nice!! It was a big pleasure having you and thank you for enjoying Osaka!!
早朝にチェックアウトした香港からのゲストが、私たちには内緒でお花を飾っておいてくれました。何も言わずに、朝からお花いけて去るなんて。。。かっこよすぎ！ 多謝！

今週末１８日、来週末２５日と２週に渡って
”みくにマルシェ”　が開催されます。
当日は地域の方々のハンドメイド作品ショップをメインに
アイシングクッキー作りや切り絵、キッズメイクなど子供たちも楽しめるワークショップやら中高生たちのミュージックバンドなども。
ゲストハウス かみのろのある商店街の中で開催されるので
今回も時間を見つけてちょこっと覗きに行こうと思います。

"Mikuni marché”, local festival is coming this Sunday in our shopping street.
This is getting a regular event now. There will be a lot of handmade shops and food stands, and even workshops like paper
cutting and sugar icing cookies for kids, and a lot more!
It's not a big event like you see in the downtown area, but t's more like unique and warm local atmosphere, also it might be a good chance to connect with local community.

We had a surprise guest! This nice guy had stayed at CaminoRo about 2 years ago and showed up today without telling us just to say hi. :) He says this time he is traveling by bicycle from Tokyo area and going all the way to the bottom of Kyushu Island. Crazy, especially in this hot weather with typhoons but sounds like so much fun! :) We were very pleased to see him again and know that some people who stayed here still remember us and Mikuni with good memories. And a cheesecake for us, you are too nice! :) Hope to you again on your next trip in Japan. Thank you and wish you all the best!!
