At Sorauta Private Stay, we have thoughtfully incorporated small touches throughout the house so our guests can experience the culture, craftsmanship, and connections that make this region so special.

Today, we placed an umbrella featuring the artwork of "Kayano Tanida", an artist represented by "HERALBONY", at our entrance.

Our family has known Kayano for nearly ten years. Recently, her mother kindly gifted us this beautiful umbrella, and we are truly delighted to welcome our guests with her artwork.

HERALBONY is a creative company from Iwate, Japan, dedicated to changing perceptions of disability through art. With the mission "Radiate Your Colors,"the company collaborates with artists with disabilities to create new culture and share their exceptional talents with the world. Today, HERALBONY's work reaches audiences and partners both in Japan and internationally.

We hope that your stay at Sorauta Private Stay will become an opportunity to discover the people, creativity, and culture that make Iwate so unique.

「この街を知るきっかけが、宿の中にも。」

Sorauta Private Stayでは、この街で育まれた文化やものづくり、人とのつながりを感じていただけるよう、宿のあちこちに小さな工夫を散りばめています。

今日は、HERALBONY（ヘラルボニー）の契約アーティスト谷田圭也之さんの作品がプリントされた傘を玄関に飾りました。

実は、圭也之さんと私たち家族とのご縁は、もう10年近くになります。

今回、この素敵な傘を圭也之さんのお母さまから贈っていただき、宿で皆さまをお迎えするアイテムとして飾らせていただくことになりました。こうして圭也之さんの作品を宿でご紹介できることを、とても嬉しく思っています。

HERALBONYは、「異彩を、放て。」をミッションに掲げ、障害のイメージを変え、福祉を起点に新たな文化を生み出している、岩手から世界へ挑戦を続けるクリエイティブカンパニーです。現在は国内外で数多くの企業やブランドとコラボレーションを展開し、その活動は世界へと広がっています。

宿で過ごす時間が、この街で活躍する人や企業、そして岩手ならではの文化に触れるきっかけになれば嬉しいです。

A lovely gift from our guests visiting from Taiwan 🇹🇼🥰

Inside the package was a delicious Taiwanese pineapple cake 🍍🍰, and even the little gift bag was so cute!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful gift, especially when you're already traveling with luggage.

Taiwan has been on my travel wish list for a long time, and I hope this autumn will finally be the time I visit. 🇹🇼

🍺 BAEREN Bier Fest in Koromo 2026

On July 12, the BAEREN Bier Fest will be held at the Koromosato Community Center parking area, just a short walk from Sorauta Private Stay.

BAEREN is a craft brewery based in Morioka, Iwate, known for brewing authentic beers using traditional German methods. Its beers are loved by craft beer enthusiasts throughout Japan.

At this special event, you can enjoy a variety of BAEREN beers with up to 3.5 hours of all-you-can-drink beer! 🍻

📍 The venue is only a 5-minute walk from Sorauta Private Stay.

We still have rooms available on July 12.
Enjoy the festival without worrying about driving, then simply walk back to your accommodation and relax.

7月12日（日）、衣里地区センター駐車場で「BAEREN Bier Fest in 衣里」が開催されます。

ベアレンは、岩手県盛岡市のクラフトビールメーカー。ドイツの伝統的な製法で醸造される本格的なビールは、県内外の多くのファンに親しまれています。

当日は、ベアレンのさまざまなビールを最大3.5時間楽しめる特別なイベントです🍻

📍会場は Sorauta Private Stay から徒歩約5分。

イベント当日（7月12日）は、当宿にまだ空室がございます。
ビールを楽しんだ後は徒歩でお帰りいただけますので、運転を気にせずゆっくりお過ごしいただけます。

What I aim for in garden design is the beauty of simplicity.

By using black stones to define the landscape, I hope to make the green of the rice fields and the golden colors of harvest stand out even more.

I want to create a view that does not end within the garden itself, but enhances the beauty of the surrounding nature.

And there is never an end to garden making.

Little by little, step by step, I continue cultivating the landscape I envision.

黒い石で景色を引き締め、田んぼの緑や黄金色を主役にする。

We’ve given our BBQ area a fresh, handmade update! 🔨✨
While it wasn’t a major renovation, we focused deeply on the guest’s experience—designing a seamless flow for cooking and dining, and most importantly, capturing the perfect "view."
We’ve designed the layout so that while you’re grilling, you can enjoy the cozy sight of the villa. Then, when it’s time to eat at our new wooden counter, the view opens up to the vast rice fields and the sacred peaks of Mount Kanzan at Chuson-ji Temple. ⛰️🌾
The highlight of this new setup is how you use our local Nambu Ironware. You can take the sizzling iron plate directly from the charcoal and place it right onto the wooden counter in front of you. It’s a "grill-and-eat" style that lets you enjoy every bite at its best.
From the movement around the fire pit to the way the landscape unfolds before your eyes, every detail has been handcrafted by us to help you truly feel the beauty of Oshu.

BBQコーナーを新しく作り直しました🔨✨
大がかりな改装ではありませんが、大切にしたのは、ゲスト自身が「焼く」と「食べる」を最高に楽しめる動線、そしてそこから見える「景色」です。
調理をする時には、温かな灯りが灯るヴィラの佇まいを眺め、焼き上がった料理を頬張る時には、目の前に広がる田んぼの風景と中尊寺のある関山の山並みを。
熱々の南部鉄器プレートを炭火から上げたら、そのまま手前の木のカウンターへ。
「焼きながら、すぐ横で食べる」という、自由で贅沢なスタイルが叶うように設計しました。
焚き火を囲むひとときも、食事を楽しむ時間も、この土地の良さを一番感じられる場所にしたい。そんな想いで、ひとつひとつ自分たちの手で居心地を整えました。
