You didn’t come all the way to rural Kyoto to eat an ordinary dinner.
At Osugiya, dinner is not simply a meal.
It is part of the journey.
Our OMAKASE dinner is prepared by Chef Taguchi, a Japanese chef who has devoted more than 60 years of his life to the craft of Japanese cuisine.
No shortcuts.
No tourist version of “Japanese food.”
Just seasonal ingredients, traditional techniques, and dishes prepared quietly and carefully, one by one.
The photos here show only the beginning of the evening.
What follows is a full OMAKASE course, created according to the season and the ingredients available that day.
OMAKASE Dinner — ¥5,000 per person
🌿 Vegetarian available
Gluten-Free OMAKASE — ¥6,000 per person
Dinner is optional when booking your stay at Osugiya.
But here is our advice:
Don’t come all the way to the tea mountains of Kyoto and miss this table.
There are meals you eat because you are hungry.
And there are meals that become part of the story you take home from Japan.
This is the latter.
📍 Osugiya, Wazuka, Kyoto
Japanese countryside. Tea country.
And one very special dinner.
