Each room comes with a dedicated parking spot, so parking is never a concern.

✨ Check-In and Yukata Experience: Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a spacious lobby with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Beppu Bay and the cityscape, complete with rising hot spring steam in the distance. The check-in process is smooth, and the hotel provides complimentary Japanese yukatas for guests to wear. Women can choose from a variety of colorful designs, while men have a standard option. Enjoy the traditional Japanese experience by wearing these comfortable yukatas during your stay.

🏨 Elegant and Comfortable Sea View Rooms: Our room on the second floor featured a large terrace with stunning views of Beppu Bay. The interior design combines modern Japanese aesthetics, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The spacious terrace is perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee while enjoying the scenic views. The room also includes a private natural hot spring bath, allowing guests to soak while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The room is well-equipped with amenities, including skincare products and a complimentary minibar with coffee and tea-making facilities.

🛁 Onsen and Public Baths: In addition to the private in-room baths, the hotel offers a large public bath area featuring renowned Beppu hot spring water. While the public baths are spacious and inviting, we preferred the privacy of our own bath and did not use the communal facilities.

🍣 Kaiseki Dinner: Dinner is a luxurious kaiseki meal, meticulously prepared by experienced chefs using seasonal ingredients from Oita Prefecture. We reserved our dinner slot at check-in and chose the middle time slot, enjoying the exquisite Japanese cuisine at a leisurely pace. The Beppu seafood sashimi platter was a highlight, featuring at least six different types of fresh seafood. The soba noodles were rich and flavorful, and the wagyu shabu-shabu was exceptionally satisfying. Dining by the window with views of the natural scenery and the intimate atmosphere created by the partitioned seating made the experience even more special.

🍱 Japanese Breakfast: The following morning, we enjoyed a sumptuous Japanese breakfast, focusing on vegetables and fresh seafood, fully embracing the essence of Japanese culinary culture.

A Two-Day One-Night Onsen Trip to Kusatsu, Gunma Prefecture

Kusatsu in Gunma Prefecture, one of Japan's top three hot springs, attracts many locals as well. This time, I booked an onsen ryokan under the Dormy Inn Group called Oyado Konoha. One of the main reasons for choosing this ryokan is its shuttle bus service that conveniently connects travelers between Karuizawa and Kusatsu.

With a one-night two-meal plan and authentic hot springs, the ryokan not only has large public baths but also offers private baths (貸切風呂) for guests to enjoy personal space. The evening meal includes a semi-buffet, and for late-night cravings, there's yonaki ramen—perfect for those with big appetites!

While in Kusatsu, you can't miss the beautiful scenery of Yubatake. The day and night views are distinctly different. It's said that Yubatake is used to lower the temperature of the natural hot spring water before distributing it to different inns. If you get closer, you can even smell the sulfur.

Overall, this two-day one-night onsen trip was quite enjoyable！

Three-Day Two-Night Kusatsu Trip at La Vista Kusatsu Hills
After carefully selecting among many options, we chose to stay at La Vista Kusatsu Hills. This luxurious hotel feels like stepping into a Grimm fairy tale. It is situated at the highest point of Kusatsu Onsen Ryokan. The hotel offers private baths and open-air baths (貸切露天風呂), allowing guests to enjoy the hot springs for free, as many times as they like. The lounge provides complimentary snacks, drinks, and late-night meals, making it an excellent choice for traveling with parents, ensuring a highly satisfying stay.

🌟Free Shuttle Bus🌟
The hotel provides a free shuttle bus between the Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal and the hotel, which takes about five minutes (about 10 minutes in winter when it snows). In the evening, there is also a shuttle bus service between the hotel and the famous Yubatake hot spring, allowing guests to appreciate the beauty of Yubatake at night.

🌟Check-in and Welcome Drink🌟
As a rare Western-style hotel in the Kusatsu Onsen area, the hotel's design is inspired by Grimm's fairy tales, and the rooms are cozy with a primary focus on wooden materials. During check-in, you can enjoy a welcome drink (coffee/juice) in the lobby. The check-in process is smooth, and the hotel staff provides an English welcome pack, including a hotel map, travel guide, and itinerary recommendations, which is very considerate.

🌟Room Tour🌟
I booked two nights in the "Hansel and Gretel Room" via Agoda. The room is 29 square meters, with a mountain view and two single beds. It features a natural hot spring open-air bath, is non-smoking, and offers free WiFi. The booking includes a one-night, two-meal plan with breakfast and dinner, a welcome drink, lounge service, complimentary bar service, and late-night ramen.

The room's facilities are very thoughtful, clean, and comfortable, with high ceilings and cute tea sets and trays. The living room has a complimentary minibar stocked with water, German sweets, baumkuchen, and breadsticks. All furniture in the room is made of warm wood, including a large wardrobe, TV, and comfortable sofa. Most importantly, the room has a terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the entire Kusatsu Onsen area.

The bathroom and private bath are very comfortable and private, allowing you to enjoy peaceful "Me Time." The hot spring water supply is controlled by a button, which is very convenient.

🌟Hotel Facilities and Hot Springs🌟
The hot spring facilities at La Vista Kusatsu Hills are extensive. The large baths are divided into men's and women's sections and provide four private baths for guests, all free of charge and without reservations. I soaked in the private baths on both nights, enjoying a healing "Me Time."
