月山巡礼プログラム

合理性を超えて、
ただひたすらに「月山」という存在に集中する。
山と自分との境界がほどけていく、
濃密な時間です。

この地に生業を授かり、
日々を営む私たちにとって、
出羽三山の三つの峰すべてを、
自分のために一度に巡ることは、
そう簡単に叶うことではありません。
けれども、だからこそ、
その時々の巡り合わせに従い、
大切に一座に向かいます。

その時々こそが、
自分に本当に必要なご縁と考えているからです。

遠方からお越しの方にとっては、
同じようにはいかないこともあるでしょう。
それでもなお、ひとつのお山に心を向け、
水に触れ、土を踏みしめながら、
万物の在りようと向き合うこと。

それも、信仰のお山ならではの、
深い歩みの一つではないかと思うのです。

「月山」
あえてこの一座に心を尽くし、お山と深く交わる。

そんな贅沢で、本質的な三日間のプログラム。

「雪深い冬の時期、宿坊はどのようにお過ごしですか？」
──そんなご質問をいただくことがあります。

参拝の賑わいが落ち着く頃、
山は音のない白銀の世界へと変わります。

出羽三山の冬に重ねられるのは、
春からの巡礼を迎えるための「手しごと」。

巡礼を支える
「注連（しめ）」と「山摺（やまずり）」を制作する時間です。
これらは、今もひとつひとつ、丁寧に仕立てられています。

注連には、― ご神域へ足を踏み入れる覚悟が込められ、
白衣に施される山摺には、山への畏敬と、祈りを形にしてゆく尊い時間が刻まれていきます。

信仰を今へと結ぶ、伝統の巡礼品。

“During the deep winter season, how do you spend your days at a pilgrims’ lodge?”
This is a question we are often asked.

Once the bustle of visitors has settled, a quiet time begins. Here,

Amid the deep snow and silence of Dewa Sanzan, winter work continues —
work that supports the pilgrim journeys to come.

The shime (sacred cords) and yamazuri (traditional woodblock-printed mountain motifs) are still made one by one, carefully by hand.

The shime, worn as a sacred boundary for protection, carries the resolve to step into the harsh yet beautiful realm of nature — the sacred mountains.
The yamazuri printed on the white robes reflects reverence for the mountains and the precious time spent giving form to one’s prayers.

These traditional pilgrimage garments embody a living faith.
At Sanada Enmei-in, each cord is tied and each print is pressed by hand with prayer, continuing a craft passed down through generations.

今年も残りわずか。
山深い出羽の地では、厳冬へと向かう支度が始まっています。

この時期、山を下り里を巡る「松の勧進」は、祈りとともに、過ぎゆく年を振り返り、新たな力をいただくための大切な節目でもあります。

銀杏（いちょう）が深まる秋の色に染まり、散りゆく葉が地を染める光景は、一年の営みが結実し、そして根源へと還っていく姿を思わせます。

まもなく、今年も締めくくられます。
重ねてきた一日一日が、新たな一年への清らかな根となりますように。

As the year draws to a close,deep in the mountains of Dewa, preparations for the coming harsh winter quietly begin.

At this time of year, the practice known as Matsu no Kanjin, in which the yamabushi descend from the mountains and visit the villages, carries prayers to the people.
It also marks a precious turning point—a time to reflect on the passing year and to prepare our hearts to welcome the one to come.

The ginkgo trees deepen into the colors of late autumn,
and the sight of their falling leaves covering the ground calls to mind the cycle of a year fulfilled,
and of all things returning to their source.

Before long, this year too will gently come to its close.
May each day that has been layered upon the next become pure roots for the year ahead.

2025年の宿泊期間はすべて満了となりました。
本年も皆さまとのご縁に支えていただき、心より御礼申し上げます。
2026年は5月からの再開を予定しております。

今年は、気がつくと流れの中で出羽三山を訪れることになった。そんな声が幾度となく寄せられた一年でした。

訪れようとしても叶わなかった歳月も、
思いも寄らぬ巡り合わせの中での来訪も、
すべては “時至れば開く道” として
形を結んでいたのだと感じています。

これからは元旦祈祷の準備と斎行、
また新年より檀家の皆様を巡る時期へと営みを移してまいります。

そして、
春には雪解けの大地から緑と山菜が芽吹き、
夏には三山詣の本懐が息づき、
秋には移ろう季節を感じながら実りを味わい、
冬には明くる年を思い感謝を捧げる——
出羽三山の四季は、静かに表情を変えていくでしょう。

どうぞ、来年もまだ見ぬ出羽三山へお越しください。
新たな巡りの中で、皆さまとのご縁を心よりお待ちしております。

(Note: This is a verse by the Zen monk Ryōkan, expressing the effortless, spontaneous harmony of nature. The flower does not consciously invite the butterfly, nor does the butterfly consciously seek the flower; their meeting happens naturally, just as people live in the world without fully knowing each other, simply following the great cosmic order.)

This year, we repeatedly heard people say that, almost before they realized it,the flow of life had led them to the Three Mountains of Dewa.

For some, a long–held wish finally found its moment;
for others, an unexpected turn of events led them here.
We felt that all of these paths quietly took shape
as “a way that opens when the time is right.”

From now on, we will shift our focus to preparing and conducting the New Year’s prayers,as well as to the season of visiting the households of our parish families.In this way, our work enters a new season.

In spring, fresh greens and wild vegetables emerge from the thawing earth.
In summer, the true spirit of the Three-Mountain pilgrimage comes alive.
In autumn, we savor the harvest while quietly feeling the passage of the seasons.
In winter, we offer our gratitude as we welcome the year to come.
The four seasons of Dewa Sanzan will continue to change their expression.

We warmly invite you to visit the yet-unseen Dewa Sanzan again in the coming year.We look forward to welcoming you and the connections ahead.

＊本年、八合目駐車場には自動販売機の設置がございません。
（真田延命院では、ミネラルウォーターをご用意しております。

Mt. Gassan

Revered as a sacred peak, Mt. Gassan has long inspired deep faith with its solemn and majestic beauty.

This year, many pilgrims and nature enthusiasts are once again expected to journey to this sacred mountain — some to follow the path of Shugendō, others to embrace the richness of its natural landscape.

⚠️ If you plan to climb Mt. Gassan, please be aware of the following:

＊A section of the trail from the Yudono-guchi trailhead has collapsed.
＊Please note that there will be no vending machines at the 8th Station parking area this year.
(Mineral water is available at Sanada Enmei-in. Please feel free to ask if needed.)
Visiting Mt. Gassan offers a precious opportunity to renew your prayers and deepen your reverence for nature.

令和7年(2025年) 夏山詣
青葉の光に山々が輝きを増す季節となり、
本年もいよいよ、出羽三山の夏山詣の時節が巡ってまいりました。
森は息づき、沢は音を立てて流れ、天と地の気が交わるこの霊域には、
古より変わらぬ神々の息吹が今も満ち、訪れる人々を迎えることでしょう。

令和七年は乙巳（きのとみ）歳。
古来より巳は、「再生」「智恵」「脱皮」の象徴とされ、
生命の根源たる水と縁深い存在とされています。
その霊性の高さから、神々の使いとも、
あるいは蛇神様として龍神様とも同様に崇められ、
日々の生業になくてはならない恵みを司る象徴でもあります。

出羽三山は、現世を通じ死と再生という三つの世界を巡る祈りの道。
羽黒山では神仏との繋がりと己の存在を静かに見つめ、
月山では魂の巡りと古よりの系譜を深く感じ取り、
湯殿山ではこの先あるべき在り様を清く明らけく戴き持つ——
この「三関三渡」の行は、自然と神仏が溶け合う御山だからこそ叶う特別な巡礼です。

水、雨、風、光、そして霧や雲。
その一つひとつが、神々の御姿であり、
また私たちの心の内にも響く、深い祈りの導き手であることを、
どうぞ五感すべてで感じていただければ幸いです。

「西の伊勢参り、東の奥参り」と称される出羽三山詣。
ご自身の願いのみならず、大切な方々の安寧や再生への祈りを込め、
この神域にて大神様の御神徳に浴される貴重なひとときをお過ごしください。

一年のうち、ほんの限られた時季に姿を現す植物たち。

冬を越えた人々にとって、
それは待ちわびた特別な時間です。

出羽三山の山菜から立ち昇る湯気には、
山の清らかな空気や大地の力強さが感じられます。

お山の恵みを味わうことは、
その力をそのまま身に受けるような、
静かで深い喜びがあるようで、
それが春の山菜を口にする際の特別感に
つながっているのではないかと思うのです。

The plants that emerge for only a fleeting period each year. For those who have weathered the winter, they are a long-awaited and special taste.

The steam rising from the wild vegetables, a spring blessing from the Dewa Sanzan mountains, carries an aroma and vitality that evokes the very breath of the earth and the pure power of the mountains.

And savoring these mountain gifts seems to impart their strength directly, bringing a quiet and profound joy, which perhaps is what makes eating spring wild vegetables feel so extraordinary.

This series of spring tasks, filled with sensory pleasure, was also a time to reflect on the rich nature of this land and the history it has nurtured.
