Healing Scenery from Kohama Island, Haimurubushi
Iriomote Island, the second largest island in Okinawa Prefecture, is located in the southwestern part of Okinawa.
In the summer of 2021, Iriomote Island was designated as a World Natural Heritage site along with Amami Oshima, Tokunoshima, and the northern part of Okinawa Island.
90% of the island is covered by subtropical natural forest, and is a treasure house of scientifically valuable flora and fauna.

The largest coral reef in Japan, "Ishinishi lagoon" stretches between Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island.
It is an oasis of the sea that nurtures a wide variety of marine life, including more than 360 types of reef-building corals in the world's clearest water.
It is a treasure of the islanders.
You will be healed by the beautiful coral reef sea found only here.

This is the resort "Haimurubushi" named "Southern Cross".

You can see the beautiful sunrise from Taketomi Island from Haimurubushi Beach
from early March
to mid-April and from early September to mid-October.

It will be reopened in the summer of 2025!
