In just 57 minutes and 59 seconds the world witnessed one of the finest half marathon performance as Geoffrey Kamworor smashed the world record in Copenhagen. What a sight to behold these legends of the track in their prime especially when they get involved in conservation stories. Geoffrey Kamworor hails from a little known town in Kaptagat that manufactured legends such as Eliud Kipchoge. He is part of the efforts to rehabilitate the Kaptagat Forest in Eldoret, Kenya by being the ambassador of Kaptagat Forest Marathon modelled to spread awareness of sports for conservation. This is a statement of his greatness both on and off the track

Dinner- Farmstead dish (mbuzi/chicken served with rice, potatoes, rice, ugali) + free water; inclusive of 10 O’clock and evening tea @ 1,500
Utensils, furniture, and other provision for hire @ KES 550 per head.

Picnic (own food and drink allowed
Entry fee/use of grounds 300 per head + KES200 if our services are requires

GrekGA team is greening Kaptagat by planting one Bamboo one Avocado tree in a farm, in a school, in a home.

If a member of GrekGA's cannot not find time to plant one Bamboo and one Avocado 🥑 by him or herself, then we shall happily plant them for the donating member under the banner "Kaptagat Forest Half Marathon".

Donate your Bamboo and Avocado to GrekGA. You can send cash donation to our treasurer, Kennedy Kimutai at just Sh200 for a Bamboo and Sh350 for an avocado seedling.

Did you know that every June 5, we celebrate the World Environment Day (WED)- a United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment?

These upcoming stars at the Bombo Athletics Club (BAC) were not left behind either. They marked the day by planting Bamboo Trees.

We plan to have more trees planted at the Kaptagat Forest during the Kaptagat Half Marathon set for September 8. You are all welcome to Kaptagat, the official training ground for renown world (Athletics) beaters like Eliud Kipchoge
