LET UHURU KENYATTA BE!
Four years. Four years in office, and still the loudest export of this administration is not roads, not jobs, not the cost of living relief promised at every rally, it is the name Uhuru Kenyatta. It worked in 2022, it will not work this time around.

A retired Head of State, constitutionally entitled to his peace, his privacy, and his opinions like any other Kenyan citizen, remains the government’s favourite subject. Not the economy. Not the hustlers or mamambogas. Not the taxes that keep multiplying faster than the promises that justified them. Uhuru.

Let it be said plainly: a government that has been in power for a full term cannot keep campaigning against a man who left office in 2022. At some point, leadership means answering for your own record, not recycling grievances against your predecessor as a substitute for one.

If retired President Kenyatta’s presence is such a threat, it is only because his record still stands as a mirror this administration would rather not look into. You do not spend four years attacking a private citizen unless his silence would say more than your speeches do.

Kenyans did not vote for a government whose main opposition strategy is a man who is no longer even on the ballot. They voted for solutions. If the loudest thing this administration can produce four years in is another smear campaign about Uhuru Kenyatta, then perhaps it is not him who owes the country an explanation.

Consistently, he has said what he has said as a citizen exercising a right available to every Kenyan. The government is free to disagree with him. It is not free to keep making him the scapegoat for its own scorecard and incompetence.

One year to the 2027 General Election, Dr Fred Matiang'i met this afternoon with leaders of the United Alternative Government and renewed our commitment to present one presidential candidate to the people of Kenya.

Together with Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, Hon. Martha Karua, Hon. Justin Muturi, Hon. Peter Munya, Hon. Lenny Kivuti, Hon. Eugene Wamalwa and Hon. Mohamed Ali, representing Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, we remain united in our mission to restore our country and the dignity of Kenyans.

It is with profound sadness that I have learned of the untimely demise of Dr. Vijoo Rattansi, former Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, whose distinguished service spanning a decade, from 2013 to 2023 as the institution's first female Chancellor marked a significant chapter in Kenya's higher education landscape.

Dr. Rattansi was an exceptional leader, a passionate advocate for education, and a woman of remarkable grace and integrity. Her unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and the advancement of education inspired countless students, scholars, and leaders during her tenure of service at the University of Nairobi and beyond.

On behalf of my family and myself, I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, the University of Nairobi community, and all whose lives she touched. May they find comfort and strength during this difficult time.

May the Almighty God grant Dr. Vijoo Rattansi eternal rest and her loved ones the fortitude to bear this great loss.
